While I'm not any sort of EMS, as a former non-tech, Hospital support (30-years ago), previous unofficial home health CG (to a friend), and participated in Hospice, for a sibling... With my advancing age and conditions too, where I'll likely be my own _'RP',_ for evaluation, and potential EMS transport... much preamble to say, that I think this information presentation, offers good information for more than EMS, and aspiring responders too. Thank you! (and please try to get a human narrator, please?) Cheers- 👍
Absolutely! I see you get it. It's all about the "CYA" documentation, isn't it? Thank you for comment. If there is a topic you would like us to cover, let us know.
As a practicing lawyer who is defended EMS cases throughout the United States, this video provides excellent points to consider. Remember, that a refusal to provide care can only be defended by the documentation that the EMS provider provides. Without the good documentation, that this video discusses, a defense would be lacking. Also, in my opinion, having a video refusal with a script for any patient who wants to refuse would be an excellent idea. Clearly, we have learned the value of video in making a case. I certainly look forward to additional videos in this series.
