Mine is quite similar. I'm nearly 80 and it's quite comfortable! Differences? Mine's medium size LWB, mechanical (non-hydraulic brakes), Old Man Mountain rack, standard seat (well made but a bit hard on my backside) Still toying with the idea of replacing the seat. As I'm in NH and the hill right at the end of a loop home is really, really nasty, so I wish it had an even lower gear. If Jones had a Pinion version when I bought mine, I would have paid extra. Other than those quibbles, I love it and I probably would have even 50 years ago.
That was some ride😅. The roots looked intense on some of the trail 😮. It was great to watch the three of you ride together. The music when Nick was riding alone added "spice" to the ride. ❤
Thanks for this review. I have ever ridden road bikes, but at 54 have been on a quest for a comfortable bike and this looks to check all the boxes. I would get the road tires to help speed things up a bit. Thanks again!
@@shorelinerach01 I really enjoy the bike. The other tires should help, it is a slow poke but comfortable. I did upgrade the saddle to an Infinity, they are a bit pricey but I think worth it.
Wow! I ended up watching episode 2 before 1. The. Cuomo bridge bike path seemed better than The George Washington. That was intense riding. I didn't realize there was bike & foot traffic on that bridge. That was a long span. NYC a lot of people you navigate very good. Did you stay dry in that tent? That was some crazy weather. Another good ride kudos to you!
I've been cooped up in my home for various reasons due to my health and having car issues. But I've was thinking of going to the Walkway over the Hudson today, though the weather didn't seem favorable.
I'm curious on how you plan to install a pinion gear box. You would have to cut your frame and have it welded in. Or do you mean an internal geared hub?
"Interesting" trail. Riding along the lake it was beautiful. Riding the tracks was different. You and Quinn manage the trails and your bikes exceptionally well. Well done guys 👍
In the begining it was hard to hear your narrative withe the music. During your ride it was fine. I liked the music during the darkness. You could see the lights in the houses. I think it would be eerie being on the trail in total darkness. Glad you're safe. Another great ride to go along on!
Looked like a fun ride, sorry you didn’t end up seeing the eclipse with the cloud coverage. Incredible to see how dark it got out in the country side though!! 🌑
