Before I joined the Army (from Cali) and spent some time in the South I had a negative image of the South. Once down there I learned first hand how friendly and good people are down there. LOVE THE SOUTH!!! TRUMP 2024!!!🇺🇸💯💪🏽
I love southern accents but I've heard many different ones. Our church does a general assembly once a year in Tennessee and many come from all over of different races-- most are from the south & some accents deeper than others-- they don't even all sound the same even within the same states. I like southern males a lot , they are very interesting and seem different from males from where I'm from
Each generation's Southern accent gets more and more watered down. Like you said you don't talk like the old timers ! As I said in a previous post, the Southern accent has been watered down so much in East Tennessee over the past 30 years especially. Yanks have moved here in droves and it's definitely changed the way people talk. So sad. The Southeast is getting slammed with people. Everybody in the country's trying to move here and it's made a mess out of everything. All I can say is GO BACK HOME
@@threefiveseven Yes, they're moving to Kentucky, too. They're coming to the Southeast in droves. California, New Jersey, New York are the ones I see moving here the most. But people from all over the country's trying to move to the Southeast. There won't be any land left. We'll all be stacked up on each other
What these young gentlemen are trying to convey is the fact that just because they talk with an accent that is thicker than corn pone does not mean in any way that they are ignorant or ignint. As a born and bred North Carolinian I approve and certify these guys are legit
I'm a 14th generation North Carolinian from Pasquotank county NC and 32 years old. A woman in her 60's thought I was from GA because of my accent but Pasquotank county is clearly southern in every way.
Love your accent. Don't never change fellas. The country or USA is going to hell anyway, who cares what people think. I wish the south would have won civil war myself maybe the country would be different.
I’m from Winston Salem born and raised. My mom’s family is from Hickory. I still have that strong draw even though I lost some of if cause my woman of 10 years is from Syracuse NY. Any how, I still judge my Appalachian twang by saying this right here “ bright white light” lol say that an see how it sounds
I'm from Colombia, Southamerica and would like to learn more about this accent. Could you recommend a tv program that shows this accent? It would be pretty helpful for me to know more about your culture and accent. Thanks for sharing.
When I was a little girl I spent a lot of time with a family from North Carolina. They were really good to me. The warmest people you'll ever meet. Now when I hear this accent, I get a warm feeling inside that takes me back.
