Hey guys if anyone can answer my comment I’d appreciate please 🙏 I’m trying to find out that company rack for the wagon I have a 1989 ae92 Corolla wagon fwd 1.6 liter, and I have been looking to buy a rack so I can slap my kayak on it, and I recently ordered one from Amazon, they said it was able to fit on the wagon so I got it and it didn’t…. Is really appreciate it if someone can lmk what company that rack is
Hey mate, reach out to the owner directly on instagram @ok.rad.mike and he’ll be able to give you more detail. I personally would have thought a set of Corolla racks and basket would have been a sure fit. Let me know how you go 👍
Hello, I am interested in the rear correction and I was wondering if I can get your opinion my setup please. It’s mainly a daily driven car and will see the tracks twice a year. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. Thank you 2000 Honda EK hatch BC BR, 30 way adjustment coil-overs: Spring Rate: Front - 10kg/mm; Rear - 6kg/mm Front sway bar: 26mm Rear sway bar: 22mm Honed extended Ball Joint Front lower tie bar K-Tuned UCA K-Tuned Rear Toe K-Tuned Toe Joint Full hardrace bushing all around
Hi mate, I don’t profess to be an expert in suspension, but what you have will be a good balance for a street car that does the occasional track day. I wouldn’t run the extended ball joints without running the rear correction as it will impact the geometry. Your spring rates are on the softer side, I ran a 10/6 previously and found the car would dive too much under braking, lift inside rear wheel on cornering, and drag a rear tyre at certain times. Moved to an 18/10 and was much better on track but not as streetable. Run some camber front and rear, and if you can tolerate it on the street some front toe out (1-2mm) and will be fun at the track. Probably don’t need a super thick rear sway bar - honed has detail on their website of their ek civic setup for reference. Hope this helps 👍
What a beaut. I got an AE101 sedan which are dime a dozen for $1200 nzd four years ago at 265,000km and it’s been the most reliable car I’ve had. Almost done 300,000. And it’s no longer a daily now 😂
Stumbled on this video looking up ET’s I bought that one off Matt, was my first car never forget your first. Great car to learn to drive in, just raw no power steering, front wheel drive, torque steering was insane!
headlight and corner light might need position adjustment or maybe it's different year/period. I experienced in Toyota Crown Royal Saloon S130, someone crashed my corner light, and my car is 1989 S130, I thought it's all the same from 1989 to 1992, apperently it was not. So later I knew that previous owner had changed the whole facia to 1991, so I cannot be aligned :D
You are exactly right. Glad I stumbled across this video. I bought a Version 6 STI , and sold it within 12 months for a 16k dollar profit. And then bought a normal GC8 for 12k. Which I take out every couple of weeks and can justify 12k.
Miss my old ET. So glad to see mine made the cut @8:45 mark I spent many hours on that car. Its actually still around somewhere as its still registered.
Wow - Datsun 240 Z - I just saw one yesterday at Fred Meyer - it was lime green - it was a 240 4 speed in really good shape - I have always liked the original 240 260 280 Z cars. The famous sugar scoop headlights the gauges deep in the dash like a Ferrari & the choke on the 240's was actually for lowering the landing gear. Japan reinvented the sports car. The torque of the straight 6 engine gave them the perfect amount of power & speed to go with the 4 wheel independent suspension. Have fun 👍
For me it was Eternal Splash from Kaido Battle: Touge No Densetsu that grabbed my attention because this rival is disgustingly OP for a difficulty spike in that game for unknown reason.
Hey mate had this video saved for a while. Finally picked up a R33 GTS-T and drove it home to VIC from QLD. Was inspired by your car as I really love the "stock" style that really shows off the Japanese spirit. Hope to bring it up to spec to match yours in one way or another so thanks for the inspiration.
Never had any dealing with the 1.6, everything in Australia is 2.0 or larger, broadly should be fine if service history is good and car has been well cared for
@4:02 Yes, the successor Daihatsu Boon X4 is cheaper - from USD7000 and more powerful but the Storia X4 starts at USD9000 at the moment. Must be 16000 Australian Pesos CIF. 🤔
