This owner and I are cut from the same cloth. I've been playing mix and match with old Toyota's for almost 2 decades now. The amount of interchange in these with only mild modifications is unbelievable. It's like Lego but the Toyota version. =D Very Nice build... May have to try something like it myself one day. 👍
@@MattDutton Yes, now there are fewer of them, we pour a lot of salt on the road in winter, so the car bodies quickly rust and break, wheel arches, thresholds and the bottom suffer greatly. It is rare to find a non-rusty Carib AE95. The climate is harsh. The years take their toll. To the owner of the car - respect, it looks great! Good luck on the roads!!!
I saw this on IG first and when I saw this vid i instantly recognized the car. I got an AE94 wagon but always wanted to see the 95 in person. Awesome ride!
I love oem+ builds like this. I’ve followed the owner on ig for years and stumbled across this vid by complete accident, it was great seeing him talk about its many details and quirks. Love the content too, I’ve just subbed, keep it up!
What a beaut. I got an AE101 sedan which are dime a dozen for $1200 nzd four years ago at 265,000km and it’s been the most reliable car I’ve had. Almost done 300,000. And it’s no longer a daily now 😂
Great video! Makes me miss mine - I had the exact same model - same colour and everything! I still say it's the best car I ever had, and put a heap of kms on it travelled interstate for work in the early 2000's. Really love what you've done with yours!!
headlight and corner light might need position adjustment or maybe it's different year/period. I experienced in Toyota Crown Royal Saloon S130, someone crashed my corner light, and my car is 1989 S130, I thought it's all the same from 1989 to 1992, apperently it was not. So later I knew that previous owner had changed the whole facia to 1991, so I cannot be aligned :D
What a Beauty! Nice Colour! Let me Know if you're after another one, I've got a Good Running Maroon Colour Ae95 AWD, $1500 Ono - in Armidale NSW, It'd make a Great Sleeper Tercel! Cheers👍🍻
I have one of these as well, also 5spd transmission. I'm gonna be changing transaxle oil, but I don't know if the trasnsaxle is shared with the transfer case. No transfer case dipstick but looks like there is a drain plug, not sure any thoughts?
It’s an oem Australian delivered bonnet with a Carib (jdm model) front grill and the accompanying bonnet trim. Can check out the owners Instagram now @retronicsgarage 👍
I'm just restoring my 1991 all-track corolla. I tried to find you on Instagram but I haven't found you. It would be very cool if you could give me recommendations
I would have bought this wagon model coz it's 4wd but finnish insurance companies suck ass if you have a wagon your insurance doesn't pay you anything if something is stolen from your car so i bought a liftback model ae92
Hey guys if anyone can answer my comment I’d appreciate please 🙏 I’m trying to find out that company rack for the wagon I have a 1989 ae92 Corolla wagon fwd 1.6 liter, and I have been looking to buy a rack so I can slap my kayak on it, and I recently ordered one from Amazon, they said it was able to fit on the wagon so I got it and it didn’t…. Is really appreciate it if someone can lmk what company that rack is
Hey mate, reach out to the owner directly on instagram @ok.rad.mike and he’ll be able to give you more detail. I personally would have thought a set of Corolla racks and basket would have been a sure fit. Let me know how you go 👍
I would think it would have been the same car, doubt Toyota would have had a specific car for America compared to the rest of the world but I could be wrong.
Alright TOP COMMENT you want 2nd gen north american pathfinder springs (no need to cut down(SKETCHY) and rav4 shocks) SECOND NOTE .... WHAT DID WE USE to lift the front
