I deactivated mine year ago too but usually open it to save my older stories. My main issue with it is jealousy and competition. Especially if I have a partner and I get jealous with a particular girl.. I compare myself SO much and even base my worth on number of followers- meanwhile they get like a high ratio from following and followers like (2000+ and only following 200) and it makes me feel like I am unlikable or unworthy of love from people because I have tried content creation and build an audience but never got anything meanwhile they are on private and personal account but still got a lot of audience, it only leads for my anxiety and low self esteem. It’s better for me now, for my self, career, and relationship. However, I am still thinking whether I should do or continue vlogging because I kinda hate being perceived now online (especially I experienced cyberbullying a lot) living life with social media is freeing. 🤍 Also regarding the recognition from people or friends replying to stories, I honestly do not think it is genuine anymore.. I feel like social media only breeds fake connections which are not deep at all and I don’t like that anymore. I value quality over quantity now and I don’t have to invest my energy on a lot of people. And definitely agree about moving because I recently moved to another country and I kinda feel “left out” for not having instagram but in the end, I’d choose my sanity.

Dismissing what you once did, because you outgrew it. Though you can't buy a bigger pair of shoes to fit your mind in it. But the process shows differently. i just came home from place i worked in. i got fired. im a refugee and that thing was important for my living here. tbh it was half my fault. because i couldnt be part of team, and, mostly, because i skipped so much work days. and also he said he just wants other people. i just stayed home, half of excuses were just to stay, half were of my health, because mental is ruining everything. boss said he will give good recomendation for me, but.. what do i do now. i am barely living on money i get from social help, i can afford stuff, but its still hard. its so hard to find job in this country so i dont know what to do. ive just stopped thunking of ending this all, i wanna be better, i wanna try, but every time im being given by opportunity i just.. fail it. i dont feel like i actually can do something. its okay to be fired and i would be okay if he fired me in other circumstances but now i really lost. i am an adult and i have to take responsibility and care for myself. i understand that. but i.. i really dont know what to say
"outgrown" that's what I thought too! But since my actions did not make sense and it's was like being cruel for the people I still value but dont align with, so I looked for an approach that is compatible with both physical and psychological aspects of me. Then I found out about "integration" and "assimilation". It worked well. Life is neither long nor short, life is for living only.
As a guy over 30, yea, I'm seeing how many female acquaintances that lived in a fantasy world, enabled by their friends, are now hitting a wall. It’s unfortunate, but some of them genuinely believed they were better than they really were, which led them to turn down good opportunities.
I remember when I was in England I had exactly the same culture shock. What you said is all true, the orange tan , fake eyelashes and nails and I couldn't understand how that is supposed to be beautiful. I also had a hard time with "english politeness" which means being fake is being polite and friendly and some people would get absolutely shocked with me for being so straightforward but I am portuguese and that's how we are and honestly I am really proud of that 🤣

It's very offensive for me when someone says or "complement me" with "you have balls... You're full of courage and these traits or sayings that have a masculine interpretation. Since when, being honest, a value everyone should have has become masculine? It's crazy that makes me wonder, all women lie. Since when, saying NO, means being courageous? What happened to being assertive rather than passive, how come saying NO has become aggressive? Anyways, rant over. Thanks for sharing, Lydia! As usual!
I adore this topic, especially being INTJ, but also what You are saying is very centric to false positivity that is so prevalent in america. I am from Poland and here we have almost the opposite situation, where people will be commenting on Your appearance (with genuine interest or just curiosity, with no intention of being mean, at least usually). It is more probable to hear criticism of Your makeup if it is very over the top than hear compliments on it. I also have to point out here that in my culture being natural is very higly praised so if someone starts doing visible cosmetic procedures, they will look ridiculous in the eyes of most people.
yeahh I can totally see this being the opposite in Polish culture. Already just sitting in the metro in warsaw, or going out, saw a lot less fake smiles and "politeness" and honestly was such a relief! Also people there were in general naturally beautiful so can see as it why that is

I was terminated last week, which is how I found this video. I have learned a long time ago not to perceive something as temporal as an occupation as a defining characteristic for myself. The entire rationale is specious. You're given this position by someone else, and it is taken away by someone else. No one has a right to edit your personality or character, and you should have the awareness to not allow someone else to construct you. An occupation is not who you are; you're much more than that. In the end, it's just a job, it's just work.
Yeah i feel like seeing someone on instagram with unicorn thoughts like what a beautiful day, i feel feminine and gentle makes me anxious, but then i remember that it is just instagrammm and the marketing which makes us that way
New sub here, I so much relate with everything you said, I hope that some new, exciting experiences, people and purposes will grow from our new selves, perhaps it's the in between stage, and sometimes it's hard to navigate it, well most of the time for me lol
I’ve taken the myers briggs test over decades and have always come up with INTJ. I relate to nothing in this video. I think the presenter is attributing way too much to an assumed personality type just as people find reasons to correlate their lives with the star signs

Yesss, it always tends to happen around the age you are , but be prepared for more changes as the years go on! I always swore to myself I will never wear bright red lipstick, I would never wear orange, and I would never do this or that but I have, sometimes we are adjusting to circumstances too, that allows room for trying out new things and then we look back and say why did I say never?🤔lol..
I'm 23, and I've been feeling the same as well. We are not the same people anymore, because we grow and we change. People in my past, If they see me now they'll be definitely shocked from how much I've changed. I enjoy your content because it is so realistic, and relatable to me.
