Yes!!! My knee replacement is failing for the 2nd time since 2017. Physician is deceased. How do I file against manufacturer of knee devices when it is so hard to sue in Texas. Also how can we stop FDA from approving knee systems that are comparable to knee systems that are approved, even though they've already had failures?
I was not aware of any consent that I signed, I was asked to sign something after the nock out guy put something In my i.v. , this type of surgery was extremely for him, but I wasn't told or would of signed up for it, ugh has left me physically disabled the rest of my life, an he continues to practice, he just bought the hospital I was done in , hospital was not even licensed for surgery at that time, plus used off lable parts in my spine , 2 disc 2 rods an 6 screws that will never be able to remove, this surgeon is well connected and protected politically and financially, ugh I have all the proof in black and white, tax documents, surgery reports, so much more,ugh I pray someone exsposes him and is able to stop him from crippling people, dr jekle and Mr hide projects he's been doing ugh
Since the named driver policy has been done away with, rates on the consumer who took advantage of the policy, didn't lie to their agent and are generally responsible have seen their rates more than doubled in the last 3 years or so. It's a classic case of a few applicants who don' tell the truth have ruined things for the overwhelming majority of non-standard insurance customers.
Thank you Texas Watch for bringing awareness to the problem of lack of transparency for bad Drs practicing in Texas. I’ve been waiting 6 years for my day in court after being left permanently disabled by a spine Dr in Houston. He also falsified my medical records and committed insurance fraud, just so he could operative. The TMB just gave him a slap on the wrist. Three weeks ago, he was found guilty by jury for leaving one of his nurses paralyzed. The public need’s transparency on these bad Drs. This Dr has been sued at least 12 times in Harris County, lost hospital privileges yet he’s still practicing. Then there’s the unfair tort reform with a cap of only $25K It’s criminal, people don’t know this until it happens to them or a member of their family. The people of Texas deserve better. This happened to me. I’m involved in a medical malpractice case. The spinal surgeon left me disfigured and permanently disabled. This Dr has lost hospital privileges and left other patients paralyzed. He’s still allowed to practice medicine and harm others in Houston. While no one cares until it happens to them or a member of their family. This tort reform brings bad Drs to Texas because these Drs can get by with cheap malpractice insurance. Thank you Ted Cruz and Gov Abbott who should know better.
We must demand the Texas Department of Insurance return to their duties of regulating insurance companies. Our representatives deregulated them and most people, among other things, are cheated out of money on any total home fire. The state says if everything is gone insurance does not have to pay the personal property insured amount. People are cheated out of thousands because they are upset and can not think
Meanwhile RNs are being criminally prosecuted & have licenses taken away n so few MD/ODs do. The power of money & lobbies. The AMA & state chapters are very powerful. Also nurses who witness errors are bullied, harassed, fired & discouraged from reporting. Dear Public: create powerful whistleblower protections & unionization rights in your states. Nurses are the only ones keeping you safe.
