Maybe science will allow for people to have children later in life. It seems that as we get much older, these desires increase perhaps as we contemplate our fate and get closer to the inevitable. It goes both ways really, those with children will dream of being childless, and those without children may dream of what it would be like if they had children. Just like a person sweating in the summer, dreams of a cool spring breeze. Or a person freezing in the winter, would rather be at the beach in the summer.

I am French and you have my admiration. Being open and ready to learn from others even if you do not agree is something I found that was impossible in the United States. People were so offended by a viewpoint that was not theirs, if they did not agree, they simply shut down the conversation not willing to hear another viewpoint. The fantasy image of having kids is a fabrication. It's a government psy-op to keep people coming to fill their factories, militaries and stores. That's the reality. Motherhood is just not respected enough and not a venture worth going into for its entire existence

I liked interacting with children but I don't want to raise them and I'm tired of childless men telling women it's our duty to breed. No it isn't.

As a man, after I lost my faith in women, I decided to be alone and a single man. Without any purpose I am nothing but a withered plant that continues to exist and I am not afraid to die. As a woman with your “I need peace space and silence” plea, living and enjoying your child less life with or without is nothing but a bane you see the end Selfish pointless existence. It is not by mere Men can’t bear a child and the purpose of a woman is to give birth sentiment. It’s just that women have always been unfair. Let me ask you as a woman, are you ready to die like a man without a wife child or family with your so called chidless, noiseless peace? Is the cowardice from responsibility? If you are not ready to die and just want to exist as a woman without fulfilling the original design of the creator’s purpose, then you’re all but a bane existential hedonistic nihilistic existence just as the same as a selfish man.

Helena, it's very simple, it's called the Shared Misery Clause: People with kids are unhappy so they expect you to be unhappy too. Heard every guilt trip, obligatory speech (What if your parents thought that way?) etc. for decades. I'll share one example, a neighbor of ours (Overly Religious) have 5 daughter and 38 grandkids. When they found out my wife and I were childfree by choice, they looked at us like we just murdered someone. Brainwashed People.

I love to answer calmly "I don't have kids" or "I just don't want kids" and then see their reaction. People are different and this is me. I don't have a problem with other people lifestyles but mothers seems to have. Not all but most in US. When I'm in Europe. There is plenty of childless women and no one cares how you live.

Do you have a libra ascendant?

My mom's mother did not have access to abortion and did not want her pregnancy, but she had no choice but to give birth. When she was 10, her mom tried to kill her in a murder-suicide intentional car crash. She survived, and when she was 18 had her own pregnancy from a man who abandoned her. She was forced into a loveless relationship with my dad who was an abuser and SA'd her hundreds of times and pimped her out in the 80s because he didn't want to work. She had eight children and was stuck with him until she was almost 50. She attempted suicide this year, but thankfully she made it through and is finally able to live for herself. So glad that I have the choice to be child free!

Travel versus embracing home is a trade off. Being more home based, means you can do more locally, dig deeper and find the hidden community gems you didn't know were there.
