Similar to mine ... i have a 2.8 tdi with dual lockers and 31" mud tires ... the only thing stopping it is ground clearance... otherwise it goes everywhere like a tank. I don't have experience of sand driving, but in mud, rocks and snow i found very beneficial reducing tire pressure to 12-13psi (0.8-0.9bar)
Thanks for the comment, we also find ground clearance an issue but still love our Pajero! Very capable vehicles, loads of fun offroad! Hope yours continues to bring you adventures too 🎉
Your clutch control is truly impeccable. No over revving, no delay in engaging it, I’m impressed. I have always driven cars with little to no torque. I wonder how challenging your car is to drive in this tricky situations. Maybe being lightweight and having torquey motor helps.
Thanks so much! The Pajero is an awesome little beast. Keep tuned, we have a 4x4 event this coming weekend which promises to be challenging... perhaps we are biting off more than we can chew but let's see how it goes! 😅
Awesome day out. We will meet you both again on one of the trails in the future, we may not make cradock because of family thats coming down during that period but will definitely meet you guys again soon. Awesome people and awesome channel.
It was nice meeting you both yesterday, we are going to bushpig adventures on the 16th for a mini jimny day and I was looking for videos of the place in anticipation and yours was the first to come up. Awesome video and well done. Keep up the good work 🙏🏽🙂
Thanks for watching! Yeah always great to see the different makes of vehicles head to head, and also same vehicles with different set up's / drivers! Very entertaining 😆
Thanks for the great video! Where is this trail? Both vehicles handled it very well. I'm drooling over the Camel Disco. My dream vehicle. I've driven landrovers in the Bush since I was 10. Love the Paj too, great cars!
Hi, thanks for watching and commenting! We love feedback 😊. Bucklands Guest Farm is near Steytlerville, Eastern Cape. We ventured off the road a little, but their tracks in general are fun and a bit technical in spots.
@@AdventurePajero Looks fantastic! If you're ever here in KZN we live in a beautiful conservancy near some great trails just outside PMB. Come and stay if you like. It's a good staging point for exploring KZN and the Zululand parks.
This is awesome! Could you do a rig walkaround of the Pajero? I've also got a Gen 2 Shorty and I'd love to see how yours is kitted out (especially the roof rack!). Thanks for the great content, it feels like we're there with you and part of the adventure!
Hi, awesome thanks for the feedback!!! 😊 Will definitely do a walkaround video for you soon, and give you details of our setup. We love our Pajero! Hope yours gives you plenty big smiles 😃.
Amazing footage! I'm late to the comments here.. Just got a Pajero (finally!).. One question I have is what was your tire pressure down to? 20 psi or less?? Thanks!!!
Never too late for a comment 🤪. On soft sand we go down to 0.8 bar...that is 11.6 psi. We hope your Pajero brings you as many exhillirating adventures and memories as ours does! Enjoy and be safe 🙌🏻
@@AdventurePajero I recently bought a Pajero IO Pinin 1998 and intend to rebuild it for off road purposes. My friend my main language is dutch which is almost very similar to South African language. So , Ido understand some of the comments. Thanks a lot for reply.
Bear in mind that you only gain half of the diameter of the tyre in ride height. To gain 1.5 inch of ride height one would have to go from 30 inch to 33 inch.
Pragtige Pajero! Groete, Gideon
Hi Gideon. My bande is 31/10.5/15.
Hallo Andre. 🙂
Hey guys, cool video. Been following you since December when we bumped into you two in the Baviaanskloof. I was driving the other Pajero like Bosvark. I named mine Betty. Stay well. Keep up the cool videos.
Hi There. It's a front Runner roof rack. I turned up the torsion bars a bit and fitted slightly bigger wheels for little more clearance but otherwise the suspension is still stock standard. Apart from fitting aftermarket front and rear lockers I try to keep it as standard as possible ...for now at least.
