Este álbum ya tiene 14 años y sigue siendo para mí un álbum especial , suena muy bien , fresco, y si te pones a pensar que es un álbum debut es muy difícil no puntuarlo muy alto mínimo 8.5/10
This album is so Mariah coded in the best possible way, you can tell Ariana loved and studied her and she in many ways is Mariah's true successor, the vocal layering, the harmonies, the melodies, Ariana just gets it and this album was a fantastic showcase of what she could do at only 19 (20 when the album was released). It also pays homage and plays around with so many genre's and sounds straight out of the 90's in parts, thanks to excellent production by Babyface. As mentioned, if you love this album and Ariana and if you haven't, you need to check out Mariah's discography next.
Seems like a toxic love that takes over control. But in her new concert she shows a video of her in yellow short shorts in a field of flowers singin this song. She has a making of video out. Shows the ropes pulling her. Thanks, enjoyed ur reaction.
I completely agree with you, Wes. The Long Pond Studio Sessions, to me, are heads above the studio version. Really enjoy your content and your personality. Thank you! Love it here. You’ve built a great community that’s only going to continue to grow because of you and your content. ❤🥳🫶🏼
I 'm only 20 minutes into your reaction and it's so funny that you said this would hit in the winter. Yesterday was the first cooler day we had and I immediately wanted to listen to Evermore,
By far my absolute favorite song on Folklore. The “Long Pond Sessions” performances and interviews are all just fantastic. I’ve watched the whole movie 5 times on Disney + already. Taylor showed up at his concert to sing this with him; so just search Justin Vernon “Exile” at his concert and you’ll see him singing with her and surprising the HECK out of his fans. Looked like a great show. He teased them a little at the end. Cute. I’d post the link for you but it’d just remove my whole comment. Dumb platform. Hahaha. Love your channel. ❤🫶🏼
GUYS IM SO SORRY WITH HOW MUCH THE WHOLE PERFORMANCE IS CUT OUT. That is the only way I could upload this so I at least wanted you all to see my reaction and thoughts. The original version was completely blocked unless pretty much the whole performance was edited out. Hopefully you all can enjoy my initial reaction and thoughts!!! SEE YA NEXT TIME LOVE YOU ALL
Hello! Since you seem to enjoy the “stripped back” performances, I think you might like her performance of “Wildest Dreams” at the Grammy Museum. It’s a small venue performance, just Taylor and her electric guitar. It also has some lovely vocals. There are also the Live from NYC performances of “Mean” and “Begin Again”. “Mean” is fun and “Begin Again” is a ballad. Finally, I’d recommend the Live from the Bluebird Cafe performance of “Better Man”.
A comment from a Swiftie said that the Chorus has easter eggs of her 6 stolen albums: She's a Mastermind !!!! 1. …..I didn't have it in myself to go with grace ( Song - State of Grace ) Album: RED 2. …..And you're the hero flying around, saving face ( Song - Superman ) Album: Speak Now 3. …..And if I'm dead to you, why are you at the wake? ( Song - Look What You Made Me Do ) Album: REPUTATION 4. …..Cursing my name, ( Song - The Way I Loved You ) Album: FEARLESS 5. …..wishing I stayed ( Song - All You Had To Do Was Stay ) Album: 1989 6. …..Look at how my tears ricochet ( Song - Teardrops On My Guitar ) Album: Debut - Taylor Swift
I'm with you on the live vs album version. I LOVE Taylor's live performances so much. she brings the songs to life.and I love when she changes the instrumental arrangements of the songs. it gives them a new spine. maybe Patreon is the best option for uploading reactions. here are some recommendations of fan-favorite performances by Taylor: Out Of The Woods (piano) Grammy Museum: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-K-n9-FVTq6w.html 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together' live from the 1989 Tour: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6bVsg1Ik-GQ.html 'Don't Blame' Me from the reputation tour: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-seOJleBbf-U.html 'How Did It End' live from the Eras Tour: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qcg28-71iMg.html The Tortured Poets Department entire set from the Eras Tour(in my opinion, watching this elevated my enjoyment of the songs so much): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PGJTAhmHiJY.htmlsi=leauPLDp-ydh6XW2 'I Knew You Were Trouble' from the 1989 tour: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bO7g1vEZQiI.html
When you're the biggest artist on the planet and have been consistantly for over 15yrs, you don't change shit!!! Why would you. Literally is "The Music Industry", no one even comes close, on top of that she's the 5th most powerful woman on earth. Yeah...... she needs to change it up.
This one is my favorite. Also it's cool to watch the interviews or more like conversations they have on this long pond sessions before the song. The guy on the piano is jack Antinoff who is her producer and her long time collaborator. He did several albums with her and he works with lots of other artist as well. I'm pretty sure he won producer of the year at the Grammys last year for midnights
You had exactly the same reaction that I did when I first heard the Long Pond versions. It’s just her voice, a piano and a guitar, and it is so perfect! The first song I heard from Long Pond was Exile, and I could not stop listening to it! Then I found this one, and honestly I don’t think one is better than the other because I cannot choose a favorite. I love them both so much. I really need to take the time to listen to more from that album because I know I would love it. Just raw vocals and minimal instrumentation, yet I prefer it over any studio version, any day. She has such a beautiful voice.
Way to sneak the Knoxville coded "T" shirt into a "T"aylor reaction. Genius. Her album prior to folklore was Lover. She did a live concert to promote it called "City of Lover | Live from Paris |." The songs Cornelia Street, The Man, and Death By A Thousand Cuts are particularly strong. Hopefully, you'll react to them sometime soon. Thanks.
