HI Woody. I'm "cuoccimix" from Italy, i changed my nickname, but i still follow your channel since 15 years and more. Glad to hear you again, master of downstrokes! You have the very same bike i owned 12 years ago (when i started to ride bikes again). A 1991 white/red GSX 750 F with single headlight. Same bike with just bigger engine. Reliable workhorses, cheap to buy and to fix. A bit on the heavy side, but yours has shorter wheelbase and it's easier to drive. I did not know that they were imported as Katana (typically US denomination) in NL. I suggest you the Katrider forum. Now i have a 1998 Honda VFR 800 FI and a Suzuki Freewind. Enjoy the bike. Motorcycles help to cure every illness.
@@robertmellang6998 Yes I did. After 12 years it was time to call it quits, also because of some health issues that made it harder and harder to play the guitar. But it was fun as long as it lasted.😊
@@woodyamsterdam Oh….Sorry to hear that. You inspired me to do certain stuff. I feel the age thing too, but not gonna quit yet. I got a SG special because I liked the video you did with the white SG you had. You did a CJ Ramone song. Have fun. I hear those bikes flying around at night with the windows open in the summer. We are close to the high ways. They sound like jets.
Yes it is.🙂 33 years old and I can’t fault it. I was extremely lucky that the 2 previous owners were both skilled mechanics who have kept the bike in tip top condition.
That was AWESOME! You nailed the tone and your accuracy was on point! Great upload here! I hope to make a cool Siouxsie bass cover in the future too. Just can't make up my mind on what song. The Banshees have tons of gems in their catalog. Again, great cover here! Nod in your direction...👍👌✌️
Thanks mate! Because of how the songs are recorded, the bass lines are very easy to follow. I don’t know your level but Spellbound and Isreal are great songs to start with. Arabian Knights is awesome too but a bit more challenging. I have a lot of Siouxsie bass covers on my channel so feel free to check them out.
I bought this guitar in 2010 and it's still one of my favourite les pauls in 2024...The current versions with the funky neck heel and weird body curve around the toggle switch are not as good as this original V100 lemon drop.... The pickups in this guitar are absolutely amazing... June 2024 and just played it tonight.. Superb
So glad to know that you are OK...must admit I was a little worried about you ! Had lots of bikes in the past, in fact I didn't pass my car test until I was 40 !!!! Too old and too many aching bones to ride them now though. Hope you enjoy it mate and stay safe 👍
Aching bones… yeah that sounds familiar. After two hours of riding my back gives me a reality check that I am 70 years old lol! I’ll enjoy riding as long as it lasts.😉
I've seen the video again, how beautiful it is......damn. Sometimes when I was riding my motorcycle, memories would come back to me......and I would hum Ramones songs when I was driving......you'll see how it happens to you too......... . Beautiful motorcycle! Up the Woody!
Lol! Yeah, I've been through a pretty rough time for the last 2 years; ongoing kidney problems, 2 times surgery, and some other issues... I recently saw your cooking vids. Love the idea since I am suffering from "cooking block" currently. I might pick up some good ideas.
@@woodyamsterdam Really great to know you're still around, as I wasn't sure. 😬 When still married, I was in the kitchen every weekend to prepare Asian or Mediterranean dishes. The cooking videos are a substitute, because arthritis sometimes keeps me from playing bass. ☹ Never mind, I'm happy. 😀
Just checking your vids out again. I saw one of my comments when I was 47 I’m 61 now and arthritis is kicking my ass in my hands. A lot of guitars that I fought had to go. Anyway, I hope you’re doing well. I remember when you first got on RU-vid you had a bio about all the crap you’ve been through in your life. Hope you’re doing well. Wish I was 47 Because I was rocking hard still when I discovered you. Hope all is well. You got Hella hits on RU-vid!!🐾
It's amazing how time flies. Thanks for your comment and for your kind words. I am doing reasonably well considering my age (I turned 70 two months ago) but unfortunately not without physical issues, arthritis being one of them, also in my case. My hands can't do anymore what my brain tells them to do. Throw in some short term memory problems too and it's the end of my guitar career. I am not sad about it. I have a few other hobbies that keep me busy. Just accept that you can't stop the aging process and I am thankful that I am still alive, and be able to do things that I enjoy! Cheers!
