Welcome to Dmac Kustoms RU-vid channel where I’ll be digging into and bumbling around on different full and partial custom car builds of my own Cars, Hot Rod Projects hopefully as time and money dictates, some old car restoration and modification, also a bit of Kustom Kulture Art, Pinstriping and Sign Painting mostly from my two bay garage here in New Zealand
Maybe a couple "how to" videos too, or I should say how “I” do some stuff videos while working on my own projects in the garage.
Disclaimer: Right or wrong these are just videos on how I get things done (eventually), sometimes I get it right, sometimes I get it wrong.
It would be cool as if ya could hit the subscribe button, that’d be awesome.
I made it to the end! This one was longer than a movie I watched last night. Thanks for showing the progress. Will be nice to see how you cut the wipers down once you get the windshield cut and installed.
Paperboys on an E-Bike what has the world come to lol I did 20 odd years as a parts person & i loved being handed a grease covered part & having to use books to cross reference numbers as my boss had original factory parts from the 40's on wards stashed on the shelves. When cars in the UK started to become computers i lost all the love for it & went off to get myself a tattoo artist job, glad you did not show your head meeting the boot latch as that must of smarted.....great upload on problem fixing 🤕👍
Yeah I was thinking that his e bike probably cost more than my daily driver. There might be more money in delivering junk mail than I thought haha. This year marks 30 years as a tattoo artist for me. Although it has been a pretty slow one.
thumbs up on the boot lid. about 150 years ago when i was a kid all the old timers called the boot lid a turtle hull, thought you might like to know that maybe. ok i'm gone, bye.🤪
what are you going to do about the windshield? are you cutting and installing yourself? I am planning on practicing on my old one, never cut glass before so i assume im going to crack it
I'm pretty much going to follow the same plan as you. I do have some old spare side glass to have a play with first, I did find a great RU-vid video on cutting curved glass a couple of years ago, but I didn't save it so I'll need to do a bit of research again before I go down that road. I was told many years ago that old glass doesn't score and break as clean as newer glass, so I'm kinda expecting to stuff it up to start with too haha,
Loved the build since it was bare metal but had to do catch up as my wife had a battle with the Big C. The paint job is looking great & has been fun to watch your process, looking forward to seeing the trim on.
i've been with you from the first video of the 51, you have come a long way and i think it looks super cool and you have done a very good job. so i give it the ---mikey stamp of approval---👍
I've been enjoying your videos-your content quality is fantastic, Your channel has great potential, but improving SEO could help you reach a larger audience and grow your fanbase .If you want I will suggest you and grow your channel.
i just like coming over to your house for a visit and see what's going on. i have a question--- did you go to art school? the board looks great but your work always does. see you next week.
Cheers Mike. I have always been into drawing for as long as can remember but I only did art classes at high school, which had a strict curriculum to follow. Which I didn’t haha. So I left school at 16 and started my sign writing apprenticeship shortly after. Sign writing is the only formal qualification that I have. For the last 29-30 years I have been a tattoo artist. Which i suppose, even though could draw before I started, is where really started to hone my art skills. Plus a bit of painting and airbrush etc. still learning and trying to gain new skills and experiences.
nice job, hard to do on the round. never heard of famous james bikes. here in the states we have famous amos bbq sauce, just thought i'd throw that in there. lol
Cheers Mike. I don’t much about them other than the mail delivery folk used them at one time, I vaguely remember talk about them years ago from my old boss who was big into British bikes back then. Mostly triumph and bsa.
Best to just place the Saral paper, under the printout, and scribe through, it will give a very strong template to follow direct from the paper. Mack Virus and Drag'n' Fly, are cracking brushes for finer deatails and lining out. Top drawer stuff mate!
Thanks for the tip man. I’ll definitely try it next time I’m using the saral paper. I have heard of the Mac dragnfly brushes but haven’t tried them as yet.
Yep you’re right. I pulled out the trim and had a proper look. Which I should have done beforehand haha. I have just revisited that area which will be in an upcoming video soon.
Just found your channel...LOVE IT. I really like your style and enthusiasm. I have 2 Ford trucks. 52 F1 and a 52 F3. Both are patina from my head. Plus I have a sweet bare metal 70 F250 that is sick as shit...to me anyway. You have a firm grasp on cool. I'll keep watching. Cheers
Hey Man, Thankyou very much, I'm quite fond of 50's ford trucks although haven't had the opportunity to own one yet, lately I've noticed the 65ish ford trucks, I dig the body lines and fender shapes.
I believe they make a lot of super Yachts where you're from if I'm not mistaken can you confirm that for me or not I would appreciate you taking the time to
looks good, my next chop is a '41 Oldsmobile fast back, similiar to this car of yours. I am interested in more details on panel reconstruction at the sail panels to quarter panels area and fitting the trunk lid. If you have those it would be great to see those areas of work. Thank you.
Thanks man. I only have photos of when I did the chop. I wasn’t making videos at that stage. The chop itself wasn’t too bad. The truck lid was a different story. I think I go over it in some later videos in a bit more detail.
