Welcome to the Optimization Business! I mainly upload optimization guides with a bit of funny thrown in, so if that's your thing, please do subscribe :D (and check out my socials too!)
Would love to see a performance tuning guide for AMD as it relates to clock and voltage. I have a 6900xt and get around 45 fps on streets. It also runs extremely hot at 110c hot spot temp which has forced me to undervolt.
You consider 16 gb ram low end 😂😂, you would have a heart attack if you knew what I’ve ran on a pc with 6gb usable ram 💀 I’ve run games with a minimum 16gb requirement. 😂
16:22 Yes, please, test the impact of Instant Replay. I cant tell the difference in Tarkov because the performance is terrible either way and I wonder if the background recording really hits. I'd love to have it on but afraid to use it.
You forgot to mention that you run Adreanalin 24.5.1 which is uncap FPS and AMD with newer versions cap the fps. They have a bug i reported since last year that they screw up on many updates. Im just anoying to report over and over.
Thank you for the video. Also curious what you come up with if you do the follow up video on latency/framepacing testing. Is there going to be an issue with the vsync/Frame target control trick if running display settings in freesync mode?
very interesting video, i would love to see a tutorial on gpu overclocking/undervolting etc. I have a 7800XT that i have tried to tune several times and seem to fail to understand the basics of manual tuning a gpu
can you please help me fix my setup. i have a midrange pc and have tried every kind of video to get consistent frames on streets. im lucky to stay above 30 with textures on low. I used to be able to play streets at 50 fps with no stuttering and now i cant get into a fight without it going into the 20s
Any thoughts on creating a video on how to handle updating your AMD video drivers? I learned in your Discord it's heavily recommended to use a DDU workflow every time you update!
Small tip for a fellow amd users, if you have strange 100% usage of gpu all the time, even when you exit the game already, its related to Amd relive bugs. Happens on rx series (like my rx578) and some newer one. Install drivers without fancy amd crap, like relieve, you might loose some setting, but who needs them. You can also kill the process AMDRSServ.exe, if you still want to use fancy drivers. This problem is YEARS old, i had to dig amd forum myself for some hours, hope it helps
for some reason my anisotropic filtering option in the nvidia control panel was trying to apply itself in tarkov and just made it look terrible and impossible to spot things at a distance, so I had to set it to off lol
@@klemintime1452 idk I install my drivers with nv clean install could be an option I selected in there It makes distant things look blurry and weird its a pure negative just to enable it in that instance
fluid motion frames also pretty much almost disable itself when you move your mouse making it almost pointless unless you already have alot of frames, atleast what I've seen/heard from others testing
🎩Join The Discord! discord.gg/EYQmYejx7U I hope this video actually helped explain some of the settings. If you're new to my channel, "Best Settings" aren't really what I aim for- I want YOU to understand what you're adjusting so that you can tailor your settings to your system. If this helped, please do hit the usual buttons, and thank you all for watching :D Also as I mentioned in text at the intro, this did not take me 4 hours, it was considerably more 😭
This is actually nuts, I was getting stuttering, freezing, 40fps low settings on a 3070 5600x. I turned off one setting, Nvidia Game Overlay, and now im getting 200 fps...
what i would do to get you to fix my setup. i feel like i have a fairly decent pc build. 2070 super with i5 intel. i know i could have a better cpu and gpu but i cant tell you how bad it is to have 27 fps on streets. ive watched so many videos on how to boost fps and still cant get above 40 on most maps.
I kinda stopped using that form due to the sheer volume of people. I occasionally do, but you have a much better chance if you tune in to PC Sherpa Live Sundays @ 1:30 PM CST OR make a post in the help-forum in my discord :)
🎩 Join The Discord! discord.gg/EYQmYejx7U Sorry if the audio sounds a little off here! Still figuring out how I'm gonna do it with the dual PC setup. It should be sorted out soon enough :) Besides that, lemme know how Gray Zone Warfare is doing below and see you all in stream :D
What do you think about GZW as a whole, do you think the price is worth for the experience it can give or do you think people should wait for a more complete version of the game, specially those with the bad performing computers?
If you have good enough FPS to play it, I think GZW is worth the 35 right now. However, if you struggle, I don't think it is. You have to really like that slow-paced extraction type shooter in order to get into it.
