The reason you’re struggling with your decision with Mariah and how she performed it is because Brenda flat out slayed it. If you’re coming after the original it better hit like a ton of bricks to surpass it. It’s a good version but can’t touch Brenda’s version. The music alone is better produced.
Find her Over The Rainbow from her 1956 Ford Star Jubilee. Amazing. Also, The Man That Got Away, Send My Baby, and one of my all time favorites, Just in Time
I know this is a 3-year-old video that I am commenting on and I've actually watched this video a few times and I just adore your reaction to Robin and the mimic of her vocals by you are great. I feel that she is underrated and not as well-known as some of the bigger music moguls and writers and singers like sia. She is an amazing vocal arranger, her choices and natural tone . And you are right on about her emoting, I feel her, even though there is heavy house beat she gives it life. Amazing ear and choices. Love ya react ty for respecting her talent.
I went to the uk for the first time just to see them and it was such an experience. I never thought it’d see them. This was emotional and the crowds energy and emotions was something else. I went to the very last date so it was extra emotional. It kinda felt like Sarah was there the whole time. The girls killed it. Legends!
Thanks for giving so much time to Barbra! One of the greatest singers of all time. I love her early 60s-early 70s songs and performances the best. I think she was at the peak of her vocal powers then and she often chose songs that were little known classics. In later years she turned to pop and easy listening. She was still great, I just prefer her early years and her live performances. Her first two TV specials were magnificent. I remember her first special. In those days, everybody watched television. I can tell you everyone was talking about her the next day. We had never seen or heard anyone like her. During the height of her fame, La Streisand was the biggest celebrity around. Please play every performance from the specials, they are gems. To this day, when I see them, I get chills because I'm witnessing a once in a lifetime talent.
In all honesty, i would love to see a 'collab' with Heidi too. Was never the biggest fan, but v2 was a great time for them and some the biggest hits came from that time and a special appearence feat Heidi on tour would be a nice 'thank you'.
Was this allowed on TV in the 'Land of the Free'? Disappointed you did NOT play the all important last seconds! RIP George, you are forever missed in UK!
This was relegated to the b-side of “All the Man That I Need” when it is obviously album worthy. At least the fans know and love these deep cuts. It has been said that Robyn Crawford named this as her favourite WH track ❤
Just seeing this 3 years later. Stock Aiken Waterman really tried to make this song a special fit for Donna. The original album mix is really a tribute to her dance origins 1970’s disco. As Pete Waterman so eloquently stated, the whole album was a labour of love for him and the SAW team.
@@Werdnasings I saw her in concert 20 times from 1979-2009, and met her several times. Although not part of her normal set list, she did perform this song live back in 1996 when I saw her in Chicago. Of course, she nailed it. She was a truly lovely person who adored her fans.
Originally I hated the verses so much to this song. I LOVE the chorus though. I always thought the look in this video and the dancing, everything, was more The Saturday's than Girls Aloud. The song would of fit them better as well.
Like I said, they went str8 to that chorus girl format so yes that Chorus is that bop! However Sarah’s verse leading into Nadine/Cheryl hitting the lyrics with the bass production of the song that leads back into the chorus shidddddd that thang grew on me and I was like this is what I came to see! From the 2 videos of The Saturdays I reacted to long time ago (need to get back to them) I def agree
