where did you get your HDRI or did you model the background? I've been searching for a city view from a window like that for months and haven't found any.
Oh, this problem has been bugging me forever. Blender just doesn't handle glass properly. Glass doesn't behave like glass should. I got an add-on called Shaders Plus that makes glass render better and faster, using caustics correctly and it's beautiful. I don't know much about the software side, so I can't say if it's a system-wide issue or something fixable. But it seems like it's been a problem since Blender was created, probably due to how it's programmed. I hope they fix it soon. I've heard they're working on something called Path Guiding that might help with this, again i'm no dev so i might be wrong. It's frustrating because I love modeling things with glass and emission, but those two don't mix well in Blender.
Exactly! Such a pain. It's one of those things that work so nicely in Octane, but with cycles we need all these hacks to make it work. Path guiding has been built into Blender for a while now. Should give it a go
I don't understand your point. These addons are literally just tools, the only difference is they're optional to have them turned on. You don't have to download them anywhere, they're built-in. If there's an useful addon, then what's the problem? A person who uses these Blender addons still learns the same stuff as every other person. In fact, addons are a big part of EVERY SINGLE 3d program. Guess then the same thing can be said about user of any other 3d program. "X user trying to actually learn transferrable 3d skills instead of using a few hundred addons for everything: impossible".
But it's simple, I'm looking for modelers with or without experience to interact on a platform that I'm developing in the best way and that you can make a recipe with your 3D assets if you're interested.
@@FunStudio3D i dont understand what you mean with make a recipe or what you mean to interact on a platform could you elaborate ? do you mean you have a website where you showcase assets or scenes from 3d artists ?
True, but that adds thickness to everything, he just wants to expand like… the very top edge loop! Tbh i would just select the top edge loop and press e+s which is way easier
