Great tips. I would say Vital Padel Tip #26 is to wear a cup. I'm being dead serious. Last week, a smash went between my legs at about 50-60 miles an hour. Two days later, I saw Ale Galan get hit in family jewels with a backhand volley by Di Nenno. After being in severe pain for 10-15 minutes, Galan recovered and he and Chingotto won the match. The next day, Galan nearly got hit again in the same spot! He was laughing about it, but I don't think it's a laughing matter. Then, before the next time I played, I bought a cup. I didn't really need it in that particular match, but I hit a smash that day that hit my friend in the upper leg, about 2 inches away from severe pain. He didn't seem too worried about it. But I don't care if I'm the only padel player on the planet who wears a cup, I won't ever step on court again without one.
Sure boost is a last resort type of shot. But I wouldn't say it always gives the opponent an easy ball. The biggest drawback with the boost is the lack of control. But if you can somewhat can control it and give it length like it goes pretty close to the back wall then it can become a pretty good shot. Anyway this clip was for beginners and it shouldn't be used as a regular shot.
Today I played a mixed match "boy + girl" vs "boy + girl". It was a competitive match on Playtomic and they put me in the fridge. I got totally frustrated. I accepted it until a certain point, the line that has been crossed is when all the guy smashes went on the girl. they were not even good smashes, they bounced high from the glass and if they were shot in my direction I would have sent back all of them. I got so pissed. It was the first time that I went home 10 minutes before the end of the time, at the end of the third set. Also, if you have already won the first set, if you have some decency at least on second set you try to be more fair in my opinion. On the other side 2 weeks ago we put one of our opponent in the fridge (it was all boys this time), but this was to achieve some sort of balance, we ended 1 set each and the third set finished 5-5 because we ran out of time. I would keep in account if the fridge is helping the balance of the game or give you a easy walkover.
Fair play to Pietro man. That guy got focused for 2 games lasting more than an hour. Id imagine he felt bad and slept through it the whole day but man what endurance
0:16 Isn't number one tip only valuable if your teammate is behind you to cover for potential shots at either side of you that are fast? And if this is true then number five tip becomes less valuable? Moreover, if you are both in front of the net what is the benefit of that; you become vulnerable to fast shots that may not be caught by your reflexes or by shots in the middle, no?
If it's an easy ball at the net, wouldn't it be worth it to try and pop it out instead of using the slapper? I like that shot better and I've learned it from your channel 😊
@@EverythingPadelI agree 100% popping out the ball requires a bit more racquet placement whereas slapping it doesn’t require as much. Thank u this video helps
This is really helpful and cute at the same time. When a pro teaches us it looks effortless and easy but it's not. Seeing her struggle helps me because I too make those mistakes. Love the commentary at the end!
this video has the right advice - you want the ball to be infront of you so that you increase accuracy. If you take it too early (and hitting behind yourself), your follow through will cause the ball hit the glass.
