Ben what an awesome video!! I am actually writing this while I am in Ljubljana.! Just one more day here tomorrow and so much to see because of you mate! Your videography, narration and drone work are sensational. You captured the old town vibe here perfectly. I am a forever subscriber. Cheers!
RU-vid algorithms brought us together. I’ve been travelling to Poland for many years, many times, to many cities. It’s and incredible country. I’ve enjoyed binging on your vids - great channel, excellent drone work and you’ve done a class job repping Poland. Stick with it, you’ll get the followers. Subbed.
Hello and welcome 👋 Glad it isn't just me who loves Poland. Definitely up at the top of the list for me. Nice to know you've enjoyed binging my vids :) Appreciate the support mate, take care
We are from the UK and have driven around Romania about a dozen times and it's our favourite country. Our usual route is Europoort - Nuremberg - Bratislava - Budapest - Oradea - Sighișoara - Brașov - Chișinău - Black Sea.
@@BenRobson123 Not bears, but we love seeing all the nesting storks in every village on top of the streetlights! Love the people selling honey and melons at the side of the road as well. Nice vlog!
We went there last year and did Trail C. Was simply breath taking. We are going back in 2 weeks so I can't wait. I REALLY hope the cave is open. Last year it was closed due to how much rain was happening and the path/bridge leading into the cave was damaged.. We got there when the park opened at 7am. I can't stress enough how you want to be there EARLY. There were almost no people walking around when we were there. By time we were done by around noon the park and trails had so many people everywhere it would have been a completely different experience for me. (not a pleasant one). At 5:50 it looks like the main cave is still closed....? The path looks worse than when it did a year ago... I'm sad they haven't opened it back up.
I don't think Newcastle is underrated. It's generally known throughout the UK Newcastle is a great city. A few years ago myself and a few friends planned to watch Somerset play Durham at cricket but unfortunately it poured with rain for the entire four days so we had to operate Plan B instead which was to enjoy the restaurants and bars of Newcastle. We weren't disappointed.
This is an impressive video and extremely professional. Quite easily the best I've seen. It's thoroughly researched and gives a fascinating insight into one of history's darkest fortifications. Many thanks for sharing this.
@@garyrauter8240 thanks Gary. Your comment means more than you know. I went above and beyond for this one, even in terms of reaching the location, letting alone filming, researching, editing. I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Hello, I want to relocate back to the UK, I lived in London and Nottingham before (loved both) but couldn't find any permanent place to live, housing is very tough to find. Anyhow, I am looking into other places now and I was wondering if you could maybe do a newcastle video of the parks, river front and beach side? I love city and night life but just as much a relaxing time in nature. Thanks in advance!
Thank you for the comment. Unfortunately I don’t really think that sort of video would fit the direction of my channel now. But, we do have some fantastic parks, beaches and nature. If you want to look around, Jesmond Dene is a lovely park right by the centre. We also have some fantastic beaches, Tynemouth, Whitley Bay and all the way up the Northumberland Coast are some fantastic beaches. We’re only 2 hours away from the Lake District, and closer is the North Pennines, Northumberland and The Cheviots. Hope that’s of some help :)
@@BenRobson123 thank you, great suggestions! I got short listed for a job! Any cheap hostels you know about? LOL sorry I don't know one soul in NC haha
Thank you for your historical and knowledgable take on Warsaw. Unlike the Ukraine war of today the Poles had no help towards their uprising against the Germans in Warsaw, yet here we are now in present times a lovely Country with its own independance, and thankfully part of NATO...
You’re very welcome. It’s shocking that fragments of Polish resistance were left to fend for themselves by the Russians. Always impresses me how Poland has recovered so well after so much destruction!
"Oh man I'd really like to go there but I'm not supposed to..." "Oh look the hatch is open to the machine gun nest I could get up there but I won't.." "Thanks for exploring..... and CUT" (OK now to go exploring! Around this 2x4.......up this ladder..... through these cob webs....😅)
What's amazing is that began as a Polish city, ended in being a Polish city! Now, infused with Polish citizens from Lviv! I guess there is a Lviv museum in Wroclaw celebrating so many citizens' former heritage! The Allies did Poland the biggest favor: by obtaining Silesia and. Pomerania Poland now looks westward!
your video beautifully captures the charm and atmosphere of the hidden gem of Ljubljana … 💖 … it’s aLways a joy to see these glimpses of different pLaces, even virtually … 👏🏻 greetings from 🇲🇨 Indonesia, from my channeL 😊 9:34
@@ljinxy wouldn’t say it matters too much. It’s nice to stay central so everything is nearby, should be quieter now this time of year but may be quite loud at night near some of the bars on a weekend. Outskirts of the old town might be your best bet. Hope you have a lovely trip 😊
Thanks Ben! I'm thinking of visiting Vienna and Salzburg next summer with my daughters (we're in Chicago). The alpine tour packages were very expensive, but I think I can recreate it for half the price with AirBnB. Your videos are so helpful.
You did well seeing so many hidden gems AND the main sights in one day. As you know, I was there for less than four hours plus with temperatures around 36C, I shall def return there when it is cooler (PS…those same Alps in the distance are now snow capped) Who could have imagined in just over four weeks it changed so quickly. Zoltan
I filmed these on 2 separate days actually, I think it would be impossible to do it all in one go! It was 3 long days of filming (Ljubljana, Lake Bled then hidden gems day after!). You'll definitely have to visit again, it was a lovely relaxed city.
Hi Ben, really enjoyed this video of the 9 hidden Gems in Ljubljana. That Cyanometer was so interesting in that it turns color to match the Sky. That Blue color was really stunning. Lake Blood is really amazing as well with the Island in the center. In all of those open town areas it is remarkable that we can never see any trash, like paper or plastic littered on the streets.
Apologies for the slow response Ben. As you will know I've been away so tried to switch off a bit! The streets are usually very clean and well looked after, though there was a surprising amount of graffiti around the city!
Just came back from Gdansk and what an amazing city. The Solidarność and WW2 museums are two of the best I have ever seen. There is so much interesting history in the city. Krakow is more beautiful but for me Gdansk pips it as there is more variety with the nearby areas such as Sopot and Hel.
Glad you enjoyed it, the WW2 museum in Gdansk is fantastic. I think its hard to compare because Krakow is so much larger, but Gdansk is a bit more 'cute and romantic' I find!
Hi Ben. I just found your channel. This video was great. You have a great sense of humor and do a good job of explaining things. I have not seen snow in years, but that could be because I live in Florida. Anyway I ‘m looking forward to watching more of your videos. Thanks for sharing with us.❤
we are from detroit michigan area and have been to warclaw twice. We to enjoy that city. Also Gdansk, Poznan, Krakow, Lublin, Zakopane and others. We spent 2 months there in the spring. It was our 3rd time to Poland and we also loved it. Enjoyed this video. You gave me new things to see on our next trip there. THANKS, Mitch
