I'm so glad I found this video again. Made this relish years ago and it really is the best recipe with all the added spices. Excited to make it again

Only thing I might do differently, is go out and buy an already corned beef so you won't have to wait. Lol! Just kidding, but I hate having to wait on my meats to cure. Especially corned beef and sauerbraten. I guess, that's what makes them so good! Getting ready to do one for St. Patrick's Day, and a couple of hams for Easter.

Can't wait to try this recipe.. I usually use smoked paprika instead of regular, and I skip the tomato sauce and use tomato paste followed by 2 cups of bone or beef broth. 2 hour cooking time, and it looks silky and smooth!

Yes your recipe is the best. We decide to skip the turnips and just use more potatoes, Amazing. I just wish you had a printed out recipe for my recipe book

My cukes are a bit bitter, so I'm looking for a way to use them. Do you think they would be good for this recipe (after peeling)?

So if I let this sit on the counter for 48 hours, do I then have to eat it all or can I then refrigerate it? And if I can refrigerate it, how long will it last in the frige ?
@thebigeasychef
@thebigeasychef Год назад
Hi T Dog, Thanks for your question, the salad will last a long time in the fridge as well as setting, the vinegar helps to keep it from going bad soon. I am amazed that you have left over when I take this salad to someone's house it is gone. I hope this helped to answer you question, thanks for watching. The BEC

Hi Shawn, thanks for your comment, I did season the oysters with salt and pepper, my mistake that I didn't catch it on camera, sometimes Old Bay Seasoning works with the salt and peeper, season the oysters before putting them in the flour. I hope you give them a try, thanks again, The BEC
