Wow, while annabel's comment is none of my business chef, I want to thank you for your channel and the time you put in. I can't imagine how or why annabel got upset from your comment! Hi Scott, thanks for your kind words, you know you have to be a little "thick skinned" if you have a RU-vid channel, I just let those things roll off of my back. I tried making thousand islands with evoo but it tasted so bitter. Canola oil tastes much better in it.

Hi Raeanne, You should be careful when using different oils, as some do have a bitter taste, this is why I use extra light olive oil, there isn't any real taste to it, and you get the health benefits of olive oil, so it is win, win. Canola oil is also a good oil to use as it has some good benefits, plus a nice neutral flavor. Thanks for sharing you failure and your successful thousand island dressing. Be careful when buying olive oil. A lot of bad almost rancid tasting with a musty/moldy odor to them. Find some good brands and stick with them.
