Had the same problem, and it did the same thing when I took it apart, the motor was running smoothly, just waiting for the replacement. Started sounding loud and then it got just got worse.
I’m got a dragonhawk v2s I know not comparable but I love the shape and weight or maybe just how smooth it’s running g I don’t even care about wires if I line better now I’m looking at this or a phantom later this year if I keep getting better
Nice I just got a dragonhawk V2s I think it’s called lol it’s sooooo nice to run lines at 5mm stroke setting but since it’s my first rotary machine and uses needle cartridges and a differnt grip than the old stuff I’m Used to I wonder if I set it up correctly
I was skeptical about the idea of going back to reel-to-reel machines, but a colleague persuaded me to try Vlad Blad Pro Coil. Now I can't imagine how I managed without them. We have a constant flow of clients in our studio and the efficiency of our work has increased considerably. This is especially noticeable when working on traditional styles.
Avenger 3 Pro has become my secret weapon for creating complex color work. The ability to quickly change settings while working makes it easy to switch between outlines, fills and fades. The ergonomics is top-notch - even after long sessions my hand doesn't get tired. I would also like to mention the build quality - the machine seems unbreakable. Definitely worth the money for professionals who are serious about their work.
I am in the middle of a new tattoo. The line work is there but after reviewing it for a couple of days I think the artist made a mistake. Way to minimal space between everything. Now looking for a solution but that seems difficult. Even when the lines are not that thick yet. I did pay a lot and it is a respectable shop but mistakes happen I gues. Frustrating because I took so much time to bite the bullet for this new tattoo which is part of a full sleeve and it is already messed up.
@@ThatTattooGuyOfficial Dude I love this tattoo! You are so talented! I can tell you've been tattooing for a long time. I am currently in the Navy, and tattoos are a big tradition.
@@ThatTattooGuyOfficial ok the FK iron pen machine I have been learning on is great But doesn't line well especially bolder lines I want something more stable and for solid one shot lines if possible I watched your review like 3 times I'm just worried about how to set up this machine for carts and what grips ect
What is your needle hang when peppering/dotshading? I see some aggressive movements, so I assume you work with a needle nearly hanging out of the cartridge? Lovely work, as always.
Sure you can. You just need a coil that is able to slow down to be able to get spaced out dots. Rotaries are just easier for that kind of thing on your wrist
I’ve found that using a little distilled water on my paper towels keeps the skin clean and doesn’t mess with my stencil. Picked that up from some portrait guys, hope this helps! Great video
I got a question kinda related, but what do you do when your client wants to tap out halfway thru a session? Do you tell em to suck it up or you reschedule and hope you can place a stencil again.
On these larger ones I tell them the goal is to get all the information from the stencil into the skin at least. I move pretty quick so it’s never a problem, but if I had do I’d pick a good spot to end up replacing the stencil later
@@ThatTattooGuyOfficial right, I love the clients who say they can sit for hours but 30 min in their all about breaks. I’ve got this client who’s about half done with this septagrahm (seven sided star) and dreading placing a new stencil to match up the rest of the lines
I’m there with ya on the dry ppr towel. If ya can be soft then it’s a better way to go. Nothing witch hazel or green soap later won’t come back and soothe irritation
Amazing work, man! Congratulations! Do you always use round shaders instead of liners? And once the stencil is done, what do you recommend using on the paper towel to clean the ink? Btw, really glad with my Avenger 2 Pro, your review was the final point to buy it, thank you, very appreciated!!
@@marcelorego96 thank you! I do use liners as well but I’ve been getting away from using tight liners. In my experience they just do more damage to the skin with how I like to tattoo. I use green soap and distilled water on my towel to clean the skin of ink. Glad to help!
Decent explanation, see if you can explain this vibration you feel.. act as if im standing there and explain.. that would be awesome and a Video On Skin.. How to know your have to stop making passes, what does the skin look like when its had enough etc ya know.. a video on trauma and skin would be Siiiiiiickkkkkkk
Currently looking for a cheap backup machine. Narrowed it down to this one after watching this or the ambition torped 36mm. Which one would you choose as a back up emergency "get the job finished" machine? (Ps yes I have decades of experience with trad coil machines but I'm noob to the new style machines.) id appreciate your opinion young man. Many thanks
