Cheap machines sometimes work super well and I love them, other times things like this happen. It’s always a toss up for me with these kinds of machines. Even it works well you never know how long they will last.
You should try the coffin rotary by electric soul, tattoos hands down the best machine ever one pass solid lines adjustable and pretty cool 3d printed frame it’s insane price $150 I own to
Sounds like faulty battery, I’d love to see an update on TikTok or Instagram on if this problem resolved with an RCA connection cable set up or a separate battery with the RCA attachment!
When the machine is turned on it makes a small high-pitched noise? I have seen 2 videos that confirm it and so has my machine, but I want to make sure everything is fine?
Disposable grips are great for sure. I try not to buy from Amazon.. but from a reputable tattoo supply site with PayPal and you have no worries about money.
Nice review and thanks for the honest review so thank you and could you do a review on the coffin tattoo machine look up coffin tattoo machine and it will pull up were to bye the them I belive there 250$ and adjustable strokes
@Toddwith2 … I’m starting my apprenticeship next week .. I have the ambition soldier and I love it .. then again ion kno as much as I should when it comes to braking down machines .. but only have the one
I have the ambition soldier, have had it a yr. And i still use it often and i have fk flux, exo, axys Valhalla and i still like the soldier, that battery is the original and I still get 8 hrs of use and still have bar left ,i don't know if I got lucky and got one that wasn't a dud either way i like it alot and will ride it till the wheel falls off, i only got the one ambition and tho they have made more, i don't plan on buying any of the newer ones, ive checked reviews on the models made after the soldier and it is always being mentioned, I think it sais a lot
@stusdoodles I dont have a pen style machine myself, as I find the vladblad avenger 2 pro does everything I need; would be nice to have a comparison though at some point.
Did you try it with the rca adapter just to check if it might be a problem with the battery? (@mihkatach but if you send it please allow me to pay the shipping costs because I am located in Southern Europe)
Josh Herman swears by this company, he’s been using their machines for 3ish years. I personally tried one “original Soldier“ and at the time the weight was too back heavy and the whole thing felt too cheap. I’d possibly try reseating the battery or try the other one.
@@ThatTattooGuyOfficialAfter 35+ years tattooing with coils and trying a lot of rotaries over the years that couldn’t keep up. I decided to try that Hello machine you reviewed. Why not, it was cheap. Well I have to say I was impressed. I did have to slow down my hand a little but it pumped the ink ok. I’m buying a couple more including the Torped which has a 4,4.5 and 5 cam. Be interesting to see. I think I will still have to use coils to pump big mags though. On that I will say I’ve been using cheap $5 Chinese coil machines for years. I bought them 10 at a time lol. I just resprung them and set them up properly and they run fine. You just had to look for the ones that were geometrically good in the frame and tube vice etc. I have enjoyed watching your channel while navigating these new pen machine reviews. Thank you. P.S when I started tattooing in the 80’s we made everything ourselves. It’s a new era now.
That was super disappointing. A few weeks ago I decided to pick up the Ambition Torped ($70 machine - $120 with battery) And I was totally impressed with the quality for the price 👍 👍. That sucks that you got a dud because this brand is amazing . They make nice decent machines that people can actually afford. I use Axys Valhalla as my primary machine but honestly I've been using this $70 Ambition machine more than any of my others lol I have become a die-hard Ambition fan since getting the Torped
I was disappointed as well! I’ve tried their bishop wand knockoff and really liked it as well. In certain instances more than the real one lol That’s the only issue I have with these cheaper brands. Never know what you are going to get
Critical and Tat soul released a Direct drive machine / Kit I would love to see a review of. So far can't find anything! And so far I love the machine!
@andyrehmtattoo too bad the machine didn't work well. had one for half a year and its running perfectly. good at shading, color packaging and lining. but what i don't like is the touch display... would love to have a spare one
I just purchased the Ambition Soldier Max. I was pleasantly surprised…its a 4.2 stroke, comes with an additional 4.0 cam, allows you to switch between modes. Lines like a beast! Works great stippling as well.
That was literally my first pen machine. All you would have to do is lubricant it before using it. I’ve had for about a year and damn thing is still working!😂
@@ThatTattooGuyOfficial I’m sure, I completely agree with you on not being able to recommend a machine that’s a hit or miss. Love your content and I’ll be on the lookout for your future videos and recommendations.
@devohos13.. yooo i could really use this machine in addition to my other ambition machine seeing as it can be used with the disposable grips that i have. Sucks its defective but im sure ambition will replace it
@sinart776 Would like try to mess around with Pointillism cartridges on paper with that thing...but i'd like to pay the shipping! Thank you for your honest opinion /reviews Tyler!
@welcome_to_level_up_studio Ambition is perfect for a beginner and even a professional that’s been tattooing for years. I love the product, it’s affordable for anyone that can’t afford the big brands. I recommend their tattoo machines. They’re great!!!👍🏽
I dont mind getting a knockoff, maybe will look good in my machine drawer. You following me would be real cool tough, im a big fan of your channel @katana_tattoo
