I know this video is old, but I have some doubts about the last claim. Why didn't the informant share about the time travel fact to this new Japan? The only explanation I could think of is that the informant is under a mission to execute a plan from the RA2 Japan and must not reveal this fact at any cost. Or perhaps there is a cultural piece like the idea of honor that I am missing? How did this informant get RA3 Japan timeline to believe any information? Example. Revealing that Psycic research is important would rely on RA2 timeline evidence given to the emperor before WW2 (at least to recruit Yuri + Pearl Harbor). Perhaps this informant starts at the lowest rank in Japan's miltary quickly rising to the very top (using RA2 knowledge to get very good results/success) all secretly to ensure the success of his mission?
(Silly scenario where the Bullfrog got bribed by a Spy) Tesla Trooper 1: Wait, did Sergei (the Bullfrog driver) just ... he didn't! Tesla Trooper 2: Let's get him! Natasha: Everyone out, now! Bear: MRRROOO!!! Tesla Trooper 3: And take that Spy out for good measure!
Good lord whenever you publish a new unit guide I learn like 30 new things and shit bricks at the same time! Using the launch emblem to scope for buildings in fog of war is insane, launching units past capacity and toggling unit abilities post parachute for the very frame that they land is insane, I didn't realize bullfrog was just insane😭
1:24 Too many people are interpreting this video as trashing on Bullfrog. For the record, I immediately said at 1:24 that despite their inferior stats, Bullfrog is the best AA. From that point on the video is only covering positives. All the reasons why Bullfrogs are awesome: • High damage output matters *way* more than hp against fast & maneuverable air units (Your window of opportunity to fire at them is minimal, and having a bit more damage could change whether they escape w/ 1 HP or die) • Instantaneous damage so that multiple Bullfrogs don't waste ammo on the same target that's already about to die • Ability to move & fire in all directions, granting great micro potential for kiting & chasing (without micro, Bullfrogs would indeed appear to be very weak; The micros allow Bullfrogs to get soooo many more shots off than other AA could, and often result in large number of AA being straight-up unable to approach near Bullfrogs - see 0:00 and 5:12) • Amphibious • Decent speed (not extraordinary, but good enough) • Having the additional ability to teleport any number of infantries by a massive distance to any spot(s), with the drawback being they'd be vulnerable to AA for 5 seconds, is yet another bonus
You have to admit losing to a twinblade seems pretty awful and personally I feel like they should be bulkier if they are dedicated anti air costing MORE than IFV
Thanks! I was really proud of the entire sequence at 3:58 and how well the music matched the sound effects & sequence of events. I usually don't put too much intentionality into this kind of matching, but when a music naturally matches things as if predestined, I know it's the right music 😄
I think that Bullfrog would instantly jump to the top tier AA vehicle should any faction in this game field point defense laser or missile flare on their aircraft like the USA did in C&C Generals where it's the Quad Cannon, Gatling, and Avenger who's the top tier AA vehicle because their hitscan attacks bypass those defenses. For those who's not know, in C&C Generals, USA aircraft can be upgraded with missile flare which flat out made half of the rockets aiming at them miss, resulting in the need to invest a disproportionate amount in defense against them if your faction has only missile-based AA... like the USA themselves. (USA does have non-missile based AA, but the Avenger cost almost half the price of a Superweapon, so no one can afford to spam them and thus rarely counts.) And then there's USA Air Force General who augments the above "50% of missiles fired at USA aircraft will miss." with rapid-fire Point Defense Lasers on top of that. Which, if we go by RA3 analogy, you'd need like a dozen of IFVs firing missiles simultaneously at a single USAF General plane to have a chance at damaging them. If they flies in group of two or more so their point defenses cover one another, then you might as well forgo your missile-based AA entirely as it will never shoot anything down.
The key reason is because it has Flak damage which deliver the damage almost instantly and guaranteedly unlike Rocket damage which has travel time and will be outrun if enemies are too fast or using their speed boost early this mean only Bullfrogs and Flak defence are able to take down Artemis Bombers in such mod like Epic War.
rockets can't really be outrun, since they'll chase you all the way to your base once they've been fired. The issue with rockets for AA is the delay before damage is actually dealt, and that multiple units could waste lots of rockets on an aircraft that is already about to die
@@xyhc-cnc compared to ra2 flak truck... Or aegis... 🤣 It's more multipurpose through less effective as an aa can't attack ground and doesn't eject units un death as flak+cuban or crazy did...
Bullfrog transport open to assist Me: And your the reason why the soviets didn't lose at Leningrad in the soviet campaign, You deserve to be more than a transport
Bullfrog greatness aside, I had not realized the VX splash damage was so good, its slow speed tends to frustrate me, so this knowledge brings it back into favor to me. VX has its limitations, but it truly is trying its best.
I never knew either until I saw the numbers in the codes and tried out bullfrog's splash. VX has same splash as IFV, but maybe their rockets spread more and hence did more splash?
I never thought about Bullfrog can attack while moving at the same time, even though I'm using them to against units like Harbinger Gunship and Giga Fortress all the time. Star leveled bullfrogs are indeed scary....
Here is a fact about þe bullfrog, which is epic: If 5 Bullfrogs target an aircraft protected by assault destroyer's black hole armor, it takes þem less þan 2 seconds to disintegrate þe AD.
The endless man cannon was not something that I ever thought of. I usually build fleets of bullfrogs fill them with Engineers before flooding a base with them to capture usually everything in one go.
