Going back and replaying RA3 I realized just how much the Rising Sun relies on the Tsunami and Mecha Tengu to do 90% of the heavy lifting. It's not often I reach for a King Oni or Wave Motion gun unless I have a very specific target that isn't being served well by the more basic units.
king oni/wave arti is still good into soviet matchup and depending on map. its just that you really have to go tengu/tsunami into the allies because of their tools lol
Wave force artillery is probably the best counter-artillery artillery unit with their weapon always land on target. Moreover it has premature fire that with 2 slot worth of charge ( the charging visual on the cannon ) are enough to destroy enemy artillery. King oni however perform mediocre for its role. Not that durable or strong firepower. Best it can do is crushing 2 or 3 tanks with its ability
Tsunami Tanks truly live up to their name. Just like real tsunamis, they swiftly make a path and destroy everything with their high DPS,. Combined with Nanodeflectors and they will survive long enough to make sure the death and destruction reaches far and wide. Hammer Tank: I still think ours is better... *Tsunami Tank"s turret pointing* Hammer Tank: Oh no .___. *BANG* *BANG* *BANG* Hammer Tank: Ow! *OW!!!*
I really love that you're making these ❤ but i prefer playing starcraft over ra3, i only got around 100 hours in red alert. Red alert is one ofthe first rts games that i ever played though, it is part of my childhood
WHEN THE BLOODY HELL DID THE ABILITY HEAL THE TSUNAMI? I've always hated Tsunamis because they're so damned fragile, and I can't micro manage their ability. For as many years ago as I picked this game up, no one ever told me the ability healed them as well
Great to see you again dude! :D Will we see you in the Christmas tournament? About the video, somehow I remembered that the Nano deflector functions backwards that it temporarily increases the Tsunami's HP by +50% to simulate taking less damage which is then lost after the effect ends. It is interesting to add that the total cooldown of the Deflector is 30 seconds out of which 10 is taken by the effect so the the actual cooldown is only 20. To put this to perspective this means that a Tsuami tank can regenerate its HP back to full on its own in just 1 minute and 10 seconds while also being on the move.
Thanks! And nah I barely ever play RA3 now Deflector boosts armor instead of using an HP modifier. And yep, I should have mentioned the total cooldown time in the video
@@xyhc-cnc fair. Are there are good place to learn how to mod? Also, do you where I can find the old patches for RA3? Btw, thank you so much for the unit guides! I used to think the Allies were underpowered, and Cryocopter were kinda useless... oh how wrong I was

You can probably delete patch files in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Command and Conquer Red Alert 3\Data to remove patch changes. Not sure if that'd break your game tho. Never tried it.
