My only issue is is that if I came into a nice vehicle like this with that paint job , I would not want to take it off-roading because the paint would get obliterated after a while. Unless it has some special coating that I don't know about ?
A true ceramic coating is baked on, these so called ceramic coatings are just chemicals, I buff my vehicles, hand glaze then a good carnauba wax. I will keep my process and avoid this junk
There should be some education here first, unless your car is from the 1950's. Nothing is being applied to the paint. Its going on the clear coat. Fun fact, clear coat was invented to protect the paint. Want that clear coat to sparkle? just wash regularly with a soft towel, then clay bar and a light wax twice a year.
The detailing industry could benefit with a strategic alliance with the automated car wash industry, instead all they do is scream "you're trashing your paint!" 95% of the people that drive their car are fine with clean and shiny, and the automatic car washes can provide that. The paint doesn't have to be flawless. Not everyone wants to take the time or money to have their 25K equinox daily driver hand washed. Polish it once a year and again before you trade it in and call it good. You'll be money and time ahead and no one except a detailer will know the difference.
Tbh, polish once a year. Get a new car every 3 years. I dont care. I love car wash. And i love how fast it is. Also there are many non educated people hand washing car and do even more "damage". A little mistake in handwashing your car is worse than every good car wash
It costs big bucks to have pros apply it. I used Mothers, hybrid ultimate on my 10yo hightop ford van. The fiberglass top actually shines now! Easy, on and off but, it's still a lot of work. I'm hoping once a year instead of 3 times as with Nufinnish.
I just purchased a new Honda CRV that advertises a LuxCare Nanotech Paint Protection with a 3-year warranty. Is this the same as the ceramic coating you describe?
I just bought acetone and it came in a plastic jug. In fact, I have paint thinner and mineral spirits all bought in plastic containers. Even battery acid came in a plastic bottle.
I think this is the visual idea stealerships want you to imagine when purchasing a new car. They want $800 for a sealants charge. I asked what is it and what they said made absolutely no sense. Others mentioned it’s the warranty you’re paying for. I said, shouldn’t it come with a protective paint coating from the manufacturer? Sorry not sorry. I’ll take my car in for a detail like this.
That Terra color looks awesome. Gen 5 Pro 4Runners in Terra are gonna be like unicorns in the coming years. Where the smart money is I think. Great looking truck and excellent job with the ceramic coating.
Unicorn is the perfect way to put it. Everytime we see a gen 5 pro it’ll be sweet but to see one in Terra, 😮💨 Which makes this video so special to us. Not only are we somewhat obsessed with 4Runners but get to install our services in a pro that’s in the 2024 TRD color?! Let’s just say we loved it! Thanks for the comment and pumped you enjoyed the video!
can you recommend a business in huntington beach, california to take my jeep wrangler for ceramic coating, and can you give me a idea of what this should cost. thank you
We aren't familiar with the DFW area but there's an awesome shop in Houston called Auto Films Specialists! They are serious legit and some of the best in the business. @afsautofilmspecialists
