0:43 At this point is where I would just put in total garbage account name info for laughs and giggles and to annoy the heck out of those would be scammers. 👇 <-click if you do it too
In short, I'll explain another scheme, maybe it will help someone. A week after this video, I came across a stream where you could supposedly pick up a case in CS2 for free. It's clear that this is a scam, but I, a complete moron, fell for it exactly a week after this video. This time, the person logged into my account from another device from another country. He started sending a link from my account to the site to all my friends (fortunately, I have almost none). My friend told me that I sent him some bullshit on Steam. I quickly reacted and looked in the authorized devices that some unknown device (Samsung s22 from Moscow) logged into my account. He did it through Steam Guard data, so I did not receive a notification about the login (I have two-factor authentication, but for some reason it did not work). I logged out of the account on all devices (there is a button in that tab), changed the password. In the end, a week has already passed, and it seems I was able to throw the trail off myself.
The moment I click on my Microsoft defender smart screen turns on , with a whole red and I knew what it was so I closed it , I love my computer that it safe me
you saw that box that popped up where the actual real steam url was and requested you to login. as a nerd ill explain this. what you are looking at is not a seperate window, its an embed inside of the website and the url etc. is fully fake and just pure text. how can we know that? well minimize your chrome browser or whatever browser your using and try to drag that newly opened window out of your minimized browser window. if it works, you have a real seperate window. you will be able to do that if you login to your paypal on authentic sites for example but if it doesnt work then its a scam and you should never ever enter any credentials in there as they can be saved or sent to an attacker via http requests. stay safe
@@jphosa I followed the link and tried to log in via Steam Guard, it didn't work. Then I entered my data several times like a complete idiot. It's been two weeks already, it seems like it wasn't stolen
yesterday "someone" sent a message like this to all my friends from MY ACCOUNT in discord does that mean I'm hacked??? I have no clue how this even happened
fun fact most russians are scamming you like this they might ask u to vote for them in a tournament. If it says you to sign in from ur user and password. Dont.
i actually fell for this scam today and i just searched up and now i cant go into my steam account anymore.. my friend sent me this link and now my steam account is hacked, everything i have worked for on it is GONE.. now i dont know what to do anymore..
Knowing that this is a lousy attempt to gather account info, I would assume so. And while it's funny as hell, I wouldn't recommend doing it. They can probably see who sent that information anyways even if you put random bullcrap as a name and password.
