I'm an amateur woodworker from Canada who fell in love with woodturning videos years ago, and I finally decided I needed to get a lathe of my own. I am very excited to begin sharing some of my work with you all. I strive to really think outside the box with every project I take on, and so if you like what you've seen on my channel, be sure to subscribe for more content! I post new videos every other Monday (every two weeks).
I hope to see you around!

This is fantastic! One little thing I don't understand though: the wood blank in the centre got entirely removed, its only purpose was to hold the shavings and resin in place while they set, and to reduce the volume of resin needed. Why not use a second plastic bowl to serve the same purpose, then remove it for reuse afterwards? Is it because you need the weight of the wood blank to fight against the bouyancy of the resin? Could you put the wood blank (or bits of metal or sand or whatever) in the inner bowl to weigh it down? Just asking in case you already tried this method and it didn't work out, or there's some other reason I'm missing!
I wish I’d seen this video 3 days ago. I tried something similiar a few dates ago using wood and broken up resin pieces. The taping was brilliant. My blanks are still in the mold, but I can see the wood floated and the resin pieces sank. I’ll try the tape method next time.
I have done a couple bowls like this and I find it very difficult to hollow out the center… perhaps because it it kiln dried wood? I also tried to core it so that I would waste so much of the lovely wood 0 the one way couldn’t get through it…. Have you found these problems? It looks like it was slow going for you turning out the center…
Well that was 13 of the most enjoyable minutes I've ever spent on RU-vid. THANK YOU for sharing! WOW gorgeous! One question: When you use resins like this, are they food safe? Could you use that as a salad bowl for example?
Solo con ver la foto de la miniatura en la portada del vídeo ya me he suscrito a tu canal. Seguro que dentro encuentro cosas muy interesantes. Me gusta lo que estoy viendo. Me encanta trabajar con segmentados. Saludos
I wish to try this, I have the nova 1644 lathe. so i can turn large bowls. my biggest concern before i start, I am not sure what you use to keep your form together when you poured. Was it just a plastic sheet that you used duct table to keep it in form. Or was it a different type of material. Im scared of having it stick to the resin after cure. An another issue im scared of is the resin getting into the area fully setting. I do not have a pressure pot to cure the resin. Is that a must? Thanks for your time.
What’s the material you use for the mold? Just purchased a pressure pot and trying to figure out what material to use to make the form. Really appreciate any input you could forward.
This is beautiful from the tiny porous veins in the bamboo to to encircled glass appearance it all came together to give a stunning appearance, watching the fascinating process with soothing music makes for a most relaxing enjoyable video.
Love your channel and your creativity. If only you had a coring system so that you could core out at least one smaller bowl vs it all becoming shavings!! Thanks for the inspiration!
Great bowl and idea. But how did you end up with 5 wood layers? You only cut 3 rings. Just curious if you used the second piece of wood that you showed at the very beginning. Thanks
