Pay attention!!! be careful on the coast of Latvia, the police will hunt you down, claiming that it is a protected area, and you will be fined between 100 and 1000 € for violating the protected area. The police say that the protected zone is the entire coast of Latvia. Most of the beach areas are not marked with prohibition signs and information boards, they are police traps designed to punish beachgoers with monetary fines.
Nicely done. I am moving to Latvia to live and teach for a year. I'll be in Daugavpils, but hope to visit Riga as often as practical. Your video provided a helpful primer.
I just got back from my Italian vacation. You can't really feel how massive the Colosseum is until you step inside it. It is HUGE. It makes our modern sports stadiums look small by comparison. Just walk up the steps and you'll understand how fit and healthy ancient Romans were. Millions of steps!
Absolutely! It's so big it's almost terrifying, and it's a shock to realise that this was constructed over 2,000 years ago, way before the age of modern machinery. Hope you enjoyed your Italian vacation!
I visited in 2023 for a Interview and what an experience i had which memories will stay with me for ever, and seeing onsite accommodation to eating in the staff canteen.
Hello Ninh, we're planning spend a short day kn Vienice. We're starting at Lucia train station at vienice & then we get vaporatto which is water bus go to Marco's square & from this square we get vaporatto to Burano & from Burano again we take vaporatto back to Lucia train station, finally from Venice train station get fast to Termini train station in Rome. How do you think can we make all self exploring in one day. The vaporatto line is easy for USA tourist we don't have any ideas about vaporatto line, please give us with your best advice about Venice. Thank you very much Ninh❤
Sounds like a nice trip! That's quite a lot to fit into one day especially with the transit, but I suppose if you are quick - it's possible. My advice to you is to visit the main parts of Venice near San Marco and the bridge. All the other things I mentioned in this video are nice to explore, but not necessary. Murano and Burano is lovely (don't bother with Torcello). Check out my Rome guide if you are visiting and haven't seen the video yet.
Is that all you can come up with the names of the birds what about the rest?` Anyway the naming of the birds is a very modern thing and not always been so!! And just because it is on Google means nothing they have OXO adverts on busses it does not mean they sell it! It is obvious you know very little about the REAL HISTORY OF LIVERPOOL. I suggest that you run Frank Carlyle's histories of Liverpool on here you will learn a lot.
You, my friend, create the most entertaining and useful guide to a city. It is always a pleasure watching your videos. Among the best out there. Keep up the great work
If you only have a short amount of time (i.e. a few hours) the bus will show you all the main sites. However, they are expensive - so that is why I use the Metro & Bus system and show myself around instead.
The Olimpico is definitely steeped in history and still impressive in terms of size and scale, but my hunch is that both football teams in Rome would love to have a football-only ground without the running track.
I truly appreciate how you give detailed information about travel from the airport into the city. Not to mention how great you do your videos altogether. Very informative. Great job
I appreciate that! I try and be as helpful as I can so that someone watching this video will have an easy time navigating around the place. Glad you enjoyed this video and thank you for subscribing and watching my channel!
Do not go to Latvia for seaside tourism!!!. Latvian police set traps for unsuspecting tourists and issue fines from 100 to 1000 euros for violations of the "protected zone", although there are no boundaries from where to it, no signs and information boards that it is a protected zone.
I'm from America but my grandparents and my father is from London my auntie lives down the road from the palace and I have always dreamed of visiting there
As a Hispanic, hand gestures, alcohol comsumption, talking loud, kissing and hugging. Nope, I just cant go, I will do it all unconsciesly. The city looks beatiful, youtube videos of it are making me happy. 😅
The majority of the exhibitions at Hampton Court Palace are accessible to those with limited mobility as there is a lift to the State Apartments on the first floor. Please speak to a Palace Host if you wish to use it. As it's an old place, floors may be uneven and whilst they supply wheelchairs, you're better off bringing your own. The gardens are obviously handicap accessible.
Bit of football trivia: if you go a few yards south of Hampden Park Stadium, there's a municipal park called Cathkin Park which had once been a football stadium home to the now defunct team: Third Lanark. The team folded in 1967 (an otherwise wonderful year for Scottish football) and the stadium was eventually demolished a few years after. If you visit the park the terracing and pitch still exist albeit with a lot of trees and bushes now grown through the terracing.
Hello! Your videos are amazing. I came across your channel for the first time before travelling to Liverpool, when I was looking for some tips for sightseeing in that ciry. Then, we chose our next destination based on wathing a few of your videos and that was Budapest. We are very pleased with that choice and thank you! 😊
Thanks very much, I'm glad my videos act as a resource to pick some cool holiday destinations. I think you'll love Budapest - it's an interesting place with lots to see and do. I appreciate your kind comments!
Just a couple of comments, the Liver Birds on top of the Liver Insurance Building are made of Copper not stone. As a scouser I have never herd the birds given names it as always been one bird looking to see whose coming and the other looking to see if the Pubs are open. Also if you do walk up to the Philharmonic Hall walk across the road to the Philharmonic Pub whose Victorian mens toilets are worth a visit ,Ladies can also see this Victorian marvel. Please come and enjoy my city because there is no other in the UK like it., and the locals (Scousers) will make you very welcome. Oh! Nearly forgot there are more listed buildings for you to see in Liverpool than any other UK city except London.
Met with Len last year, last tour of a Monday, he made the tour 3 times better with the way he handled it, had some banter for everyone's favourite team that day.
You're welcome! If you're going west from Oxford, I recommend you check out my videos on the city of Bath and/or Stonehenge. And London is always fun (I have several videos on that). Enjoy your trip!
@@UltimateBucketListThanks for responding. I’ve traveled to Bath, Stonehenge & the Cotswolds on prior trips. I just want to see Wales, & if I have time, a day trip to Liverpool (that’ll be a looong day!)
If you only have a short period of time (like a couple of hours) the sightseeing tour bus is okay. But I much prefer using the Metro and showing myself around the place. Milan is fun to explore, so I recommend using the Metro system.
