My favorite part about him is that his style is the very definition of a "just make it work" approach/way of playing or learning. People get all bent out of shape about technique and posture and bullshit but all that really matters is does it groove? Then it works for him... clearly. Dude's a genius about less is more and doing the simple things right
what was great about these guys is how humble they are, compared to their music might sound to people outside of the metal world. when i listened to them in my later teenager years and early adulthood i never knew these guys are so kind, and cool. these performances of those 2 guys are something i come to regularly, cause this is what made me fall in love with the band, their riffs, and guitar playing in general. you not gonna find this clean live play of their songs anywhere to be honest. only somebody who is really talented now could play it nearly to the original, but the thing those 2 have going on is very unique.
If you doubt of the importance of the bass guitar, just watch this video. But man, these two are machine-like, sounds totally like the record. True precision, it's so in the pocket.
Snare sounds terrible. Bashing...basic metal db. The first song was terrible. Second song was terrible...sorry. I respect this guy, heard him play some great stuff...fast feet, etc. What I do gather here is the China accents of other cymbals. Overall thou I'm not impressed with this video at all... What are you posting this for?
