Chris is a genius. His drumming is one of the most epic, innovative, and original drumming I've ever heard. Willie is a machine. The way he plays the guitar in this video...it's exactly like the original recording... Long live the Adler Brothers!
This was my favorite DVD growing up. Chris Adler was my biggest influence as a drummer by 15. I didn’t want to learn the basics. I wanted to show girls I could play Now you’ve got something to Die for. And i did. So thanks Chris, for literally getting me my first 3 girlfriends.
Lmao I am watching this again at 33 remembering how I had the dream at 16 and I believe you just made my mind up to start drumming. I’m also gonna try and skip basics and go straight for lamb of god tracks.😂
ikr? hes an amazing drummer and an awesome dude. also i feel like i have to add that i was not the first to post that, i dont remember who did but i felt it deserved to live on. because, yeah literally lol
@@allanr1771 You pathetic racist. He's leaving because he almost died in a motorcycle crash and did so much damage to his legs that he's finding it difficult to keep up with LoG's tracks.
+Alexander Supertramp Most of the dislikes were probably from drummers such as myself who could tell how sloppy parts of this performance was. I know it's hard to play every lick perfectly in front of that many people at the MDF, but you can tell he was struggling at times. Don't get me wrong, Chris Adler is a great drummer in the world of metal, and very inspirational to young metal drummers in bands all around the world in general, but I was surprised to hear him mess up on some of those double bass patterns.
+Adam L He was clearly a bit nervous. But I'm sure he wouldn't mess up nowadays like he did 11 years ago in this video. He's become a better drummer and also has more experience on the road.
Some of the craziest spot on technical drumming I have seen....even after all these years, every time I hear the last song I end up flipping my couch and wrecking my living room!
More like 21st century's Pantera. They are both groove and somehow LOG's riffs remind a lot of Pantera but still having originality. Plus they have Adler which just is the best. Perfect.
Even with just 1 guitar...LOG still sounds so good and heavy. I love this band...Love the drummer..saw them live two months ago...BEST DAY OF MY LIFE!!
This is ‘just’ a drum demo but must be one of the best metal vids on RU-vid. Both of them are 100% fucking killing it here. I know LoG are well respected, but surely for a period in the mid-00s when they were the best metal band on the planet right?
Man Time flies so fast remembering when i first watch this video wayback 2010 Chris Adler the man who inspire me to play drums and hook me up to listen to metal songs specially lamb of god
I think this shows how talented Mark Willie and Chris truly are! Randy is a legend in my book, his vocals are the absolute best in metal... however I can show this video to a few people that couldn't get past Randy's hardcore voice. These guys are legendary, thanks for the video!
You don't have to be a kid to start playing. Drums isn't difficult to pick up. I learned when I was 13, I'm 22 now and I haven't played for 6 years. I still know everything though
The talking part where he explained about what he mentioned earlier, the 'stylistic choices', was the best part of the whole play of him. That part was enlightening, for musician, drummer particularly.
this is the video that got me into drumming and taught myself to play the songs, and tbh I'm still coming back to this video up until now. Chris Adler is just....wow
@@St_Mindless same here. My teacher never wanted to swap the set every lesson for me so I ended up learning it that way! Honestly probably makes us better forcing us to be somewhat ambidexterous!
Fucking wow, I love these two guys. Chirs is one of my favorite drummers of all time and my current drumming style is much based off of some of his stuff. Willie threw 3 guitar picks to me directly at their show last week. Was such a great time...my guitar playing is also molded for my current album Im working on after Willie and Marks ( of Lamb of Gods) style. Wonderful musicians
I fucking love watching these brothers jam, amazing talent. And I must mention my mother is one of those nice christian ladies and when I asked her to listen to lamb of god she was all in, the look on her face after hearing them was fucking priceless lmfao.
There’s something intriguing about his guitar playing. There are some minor imperfections and he sometimes rides a bit further back on the beat. Makes it sound less mechanical and more organic / almost bluesy. But still very technical / awesome sounding riffs
Chris Adler's passes up speed for power, rythm, and groove. He is considered to be one of the best drummers in metal for that reason. Yeah some of his drumming can be simplistic at times but thats what makes him so good, because he can change his sound up without hurting the songs. Plus his tom fills are awesome and percise. On top of that his double bass work is incredibly technical
every morning when i wake up I search this video on youtube for the past 2 years and this is the way I like to drink my coffee, fueling myself with energy for both body(coffee) and mind(this music ) :D
