I'm trying to take my roof seals off at the moment, but they're not budging. They appear to be adhered with glue. Looking at the service manual, section 20-84, glue seems to be expected. Any idea why this car's seals weren't adhered? And, did you personally not use any EPT Sealer nor Cemedine P/N 08712-0004 to attach the new seals? If not, how are they holding up?
Tech tip from a really old Honda guy. That caliper is a hi-po dual piston design one puck hits the inboard pad directly the opposing one does it thru the stamped slider plate to clamp on outside pad. 😮
Nice work. Did the same thing myself last year. I drilled and tapped the drum brake in two places so I could use two bolts to walk the drum off, along with some anti seize on the hub face. Also painted the warn hub labels so I could more easily see the 4x2 and 4x4 positions.
You've replaced the bump stops but broken your shock absorbers! NEVER use an impact wrench to tighten the top nut, it spins the shaft and breaks the internal valves of the damper.....! 😮😮 KW are very clear about this, how did you miss it?
Thank you so much for providing NSX Targa maintenance content, you are probably the only RU-vidr with such knowledge and dedication to help owners. A MILLION THANKS!
I was holding my breathe watching you peel that foil off the interior pieces. Some of the most expensive parts to source for the older NSX. Killed it and you provided some good tips I can use to takle this on my 93 NSX. Thanks for the video brotha!
I did this and it came out great! However, my passenger side window does not work after putting it all back together. Ive been scratching my head on this. Makes no sense! Lol
Have you tried sandblasting the foil covering off? 120-grit aluminum oxide and using lower pressure, say 50 psi should take it right off in just a few minutes. That’s what I use for stripping off coatings like that on plastic. Great video by the way.
How have these bumpstops been going? I've got a set of KW V3 on a BMW that's destroyed it's bumpstop as well and the original KW ones are hard to find/ expensive.
BEAUTIFULLY DONE! A TRUE craftsman! I replaced mine with CF, but I truly loved watching you redo yours. BTW, I have the same interior, black/tan in my 1996.

Congratulations, you have just made a large handled paint can opener with an extra brittle steel end. Have fun using it on whatever task and then immediately yelling "F**K!" and going to find something else to use.
