I’m sure it was for illustrative purposes, but I hope your audience understands deoxygenated blood is not really blue. Babies do not appear blue because of blue blood.
Blood is never blue in the body. I get why it's shown that way in medical texts & whatnot, but this creates so many misconceptions with students. #scienceteacherpetpeeves
