Many times in industry it becomes really difficult to learn things, as what is being taught in engineering colleges is not exactly same as what we face in real world scenario. Things might be same in theory but we lack the correlation with real world scenario. Is it possible to make DPM Class 2 such as PC converted into DPM Class 1? Let's say I want to poll data from a slave device directly to a PC via profibus? or is it profibus strictly adhered convention slave device -> PLC -> PC for polling data? Great video btw.
Keep up the good work. Try to show picture of each connector type / wire type. Show some examples of the systems, their waveforms during data transfer , device addressing , troubleshooting etc

RS-232 is not a protocol. That standard only defines pins and voltage levels. What you are referring to is the NRZ protocol. It stands for "Non Return to Zero". You can run this same protocol over RS-422/423 or RS-485.
