"The only functional (serves a purpose and does a task, like holding license plates) 3d printed parts allowed on your robot are custom license plate holders. You can also have non functional decorations that are 3d printed. No functional parts, like gears, bearings, etc may be 3d printed and used on …" - vexforum. im pretty sure that the 3d printed parts are illegal, unless ofc you guys are vexu, the only allowed custom parts are 3.5mm< polycarb
The intention of 3D printed components was more of a thought experiment to see what is possible with High School motor allocations and the inclusion of 3D printed parts. It is very much not intended to go to and compete at a High School event.
im pretty sure yeh : "The only functional (serves a purpose and does a task, like holding license plates) 3d printed parts allowed on your robot are custom license plate holders. @@GGremlin-fr5fy thats awesome, how do you guys get your school to take you to signatures during summer? are you guys funded by the school or just represent them? im part of a school team but we're having trouble expanding the program
@@crie1808x one of our team members mom is the coach. We function very independently from the school because of that. The money we get comes from a grant mostly that we get from a local company. Not a lot of direct funding from our school.
@@leo77774v yeah im just saying that its hard to believe they built hood bc of "time" yet the good WNA teams at MOA such as 2145Z and 229V also had hood. I think it was influenced by WNA not that they had a "lack of time"
You may say so but every team with a hood was upset in the first round. Ace was beat by 16th seed gremlin lost to 13 seed and the only hood that lasted was 2775 v and they still got beat out by two hook intakes
@@Caleb7686A the reason all the hood teams lost was bad strategic decisions like not going for the third Mogo not because of their intakes. Ace and Jar objectively had some of the fastest intakes at moa and they were the most consistent
What is the plexi sideplates? They kind of look like what i know as acetal. Did you use a laser cutter to cut them and where did you buy this plexi material
