Here’s an explanation of our MOA robot. We placed third in skills and won the design award. We unfortunately lost in the quarter finals after a tough match.
Robot Specs:
- 6m 11w 360 RPM Drive
- 1m 11w 33 RPM Slapper
- 1m 11w 1200 RPM Intake
- 2 piston Wings
- 1 piston Scooper
- 1 piston Intake
- 1 piston Hang

How is the banding so powerful, we have like 20 rubber bands and it’s the same power, it’s also a catapult so I’ don’t know if that changes anything

I coach 8 teams of middle school VRC. I have seen in the video’s teams using gloves to load the triballs. Do you have any recommendations for where and what type of gloves? Thanks!

We personally did not need gloves to perform well in loading.

Anything with a good sticky rubber on the inside we are looking at getting some soccer goalie gloves however if you wish to save money motocross gloves are also really grippy

Look up M-O and you can find a full cad for something similar and more beginner friendly to build.

Heads up... rule R25 says brain button touched, to turn it OFF, from a good/safe location. Having to reach through/under your intake and/or pick the bot up and reach underneath does not meet this criteria. In short, I would fail you @ inspection.

you would be surprised what you can get away with at inspection, it all depends on how lenient the inspectors are. For example, a lot of people get away with R7h and R7j and this robots power button is quite accessable in my opinion, it doesnt have to be easily accessable, just accessable
