So glad you like them! I'm considering Bolivia or Morocco as the next one in my Exotic Travel Series. What would you want to see? (Bolivia was really interesting, BTW) I have some trips coming up that should be fun to do, and they will have more video/vlog content.
Thank you for the authentic share. I had the surgery when I was 58 with one of the most acclaimed PS in San Mateo. The surgery and recovery was like yours. Hoewever, in the long term it has affected my eyesight. It also has caused recurring visible veins under my eyes even after correction. No pun, Keep uour eyes qide open before deciding on a surgeon and your uniqueness.
@@DenisedeVille-ee8dq I am very sorry you had this outcome. It is indeed important for people to understand that there are risks with any procedure. I hope that you find a durable solution.
Thanks so much for watching and for subscribing to my channel. Have a wonderful time on your solo adventure! I am working on a video about traveling in Mongolia which should be out in the next 2-3 weeks. Stay tuned!
Hi Susan, thank you very much for watching my video and for your correction. I don't know why I chose to pronounce it the way I did, as in the past I have certainly heard and said it the way you did. If you are a woman over 50, I hope you'll take a look at the other videos on my channel. I am just getting started and welcome suggested video topics, comments, and new subscribers. All the best to you.
@@ThrivingGracefully I enjoyed your video very much. I watched globe trekker's video on the silk road and I have always wanted to visit those places!! I will check out your other videos!!
So glad you enjoyed the history part. I tried to mix the visuals with history for some context so that viewers would understand what they are seeing. Stay tuned for my next travel videao!
Great points! I never thought about the water when you get up, so that is very helpful! I’m going to start doing it. I’m now going to also start with stretches before I even get out of bed.

Thanks for the reminder on the stretches before getting out of bed. I have found that to be really helpful when I have struggled in the past with plantar fasciitis. Getting the feet and legs moving before they hit the floor helps to reduce the tightness that occurs overnight.
Great pointers! Ow that my lemons are ripe, I’ve been keeping a pitcher of lemon water in the fridge (replenishing through the day) it helps keep my interested in drinking water! I add the juice of one good sized lemon to about two cups of water… hope I’m not throwing off the plain water balance?
Positively brilliant. Some of the most emotionally charged times are with our aging-out parents. It triggers childhood memories of their vitality when young and adolescent challenges, then their wisdom as I began adulting. The last 10 years with my parents (88 each - passing 6 months apart) taught me more than expected. I appreciated learning to move at their pace, patience, and joy in little things - my pace was silicon valley. I leaned in when needed on their financials and care. It's not easy, it's a journey. I completely agree with Kathy, that self-care/awareness is imperative.
I thought I had replied to this lovely comment. Sorry if I missed this before. Anyway, thank you for watching this video and for your encouraging comments.
Kathy!!! So fun! You made awesome fashion choices and you should be a CABI model. You should post a photo of you in all those outfit combos :-) You Look FABULOUS DAHLING
Hey, Kathy Thibodeaux. your content is not going to your audience. You have to update your keyword section area so that your audience gets the video on the top. And You have to use the high-rank tag. Thank You.
Hi Kathy - I loved your stories about your solo travel and the confidence you feel during these excursions. I was recently in Bulgaria for work and had a full day to myself. I ventured out on the metro to go downtown and do some shopping. You should know that all signage is in Bulgarian - no English. And, I know exactly one word in Bulgarian - lol. I made it through the day without getting lost, and enjoyed exploring and people watching. My secret was to take pictures of metro signs and buildings in case I did get lost and needed to ask someone for help. I did not get lost and thoroughly enjoyed the day.
What a great story, Beth! Thanks so much for sharing it. Love your tip for not getting lost when the signs are not in English. And how cool that you got to go to Bulgaria for work!
Thanks for sharing, Kathy! I was gonna do the exercises you recommended and post something pithy - but this will have to do! 😂 My purpose lately has been to get on top of household chores, but obviously there’s more to life that that! Thanks for the invitation and encouragement to explore more deeply.
So true. Staying fit is key. Thanks for the pointer to the RU-vid channel! I’ve been climbing more stairs in our new house and my fitness watch noticed! Hopefully just that will help some while we find a gym nearby. (Only 20 miles away would be a win) 😂
I love how you are increasing your movement by simply changing your daily routine--eg having a 2-story house. Little changes go a long way! I hope you do find that gym. RU-vid is always there--lots of good exercise content!
Timely advice after I just moved. I have plenty of Zoom friends through an online writers group and check-ins that states in 2020. Reaching out to old friends is doable. Some are a state away - say, Iowa or Indiana - but that’s a lot closer than California!
Hi Nancy, it's brave and exciting to move to another state at this time in our lives. When I moved to where I live now, it took a couple of years for me to be grounded with local friends and I did it by getting involved in the community. That's something I know you are good at! Please share how things are going for the benefit of others on this channel. And I invite others to share your journey of making friends in a new community.
I’m excited to watch videos that are relevant for my age group! I can’t wait for the next one to come out. It sounds like you have some great topics you’ll be talking about.
Thank you! Check out my second video, "Finding and Nurturing Female Friendships After 50" which is already on the channel. I'll be posting once a week or so. I'm working on a Spring '24 Clothing Haul video coming soon! Kathy
