@shouldbegood I see that you are using under the trailer tank and a inside one too .. could you use both under the trailer to leave room inside the trailer? If I buy both for under???
You definitely could, most travel trailers have the fresh, grey, and black tanks underneath. However, installing on the inside makes it easy to check the level and made installation a lot easier. Good luck on your build!

first off, good job man it looks really good! videos like this really inspire me, im currently building my own food sale trailer out from scratch and im using pretty much everything that was recycled and from what i can find. I want to know how much those wall and ceiling panels were and what their called, what material or supply did you use for the flooring and price if possible. also for the sink and all that may i get a list of what you got and possible a quote of how much they were. and on your electrical work, nice job. what amp will you be running and the prices on the hardware that was used to build it. again appreciate the video. i hope to post my videos and pictures soon when im done with it.
Hi Kirby, thanks for the kind words! I created an entire playlist that has detailed videos for each part of this build with links to all products used. The panels are 3mm ACM Alupoly and were about $45/ea from piedmont plastics when I built this. @@ShouldBeGood Quick question. On the 1-1/2 Rubber Tank Grommet - does the PVC drain pipe go past the little rubber lip at the back of the grommet or is the drain pipe supposed to stop at the lip preventing it from going into the tank further? Thanks
Actually didn’t lose any capacity with a side inlet. The only negative would be a reduction in flow rate if the water level gets above the inlet. However, since the tank is oversized by 15% from my freshwater tank this will never happen.
How has the PVC trim held up? I just put my order in for my white 3mil panels and am debating between your solution or aluminum divider trim from Orange Aluminum.
It’s held up great on the walls, but a couple spots on the ceiling have pulled away but not bad. I planned on using panel dividers but it was a major pain during install because my panels fit so tight from floor to ceiling. Doing it over I would cut the panels shorter and use a bigger top corner trim.
Yes, they do make level monitors for these tanks but I didn’t install them because the grey tank is 15% larger than the fresh water so it’s impossible to overfill it. The grey tank should be emptied after every use. Good luck on your project!
@mopar_shawn939 I got the angle aluminum from local aluminum supply company, Ericksons Metal Corp. I think i used 1/8"x1"x1" or 1.5". If I built another one I would probably use the thin gauge aluminum for the ceiling trim (like you see in a lot of trailers from the factory) and cut my wall panel a couple inches shorter to make it easier to install and access the wiring. I really like the angled aluminum for the bottom trim though.
2 months of researching wall panels with no luck. Came to your channel and bam it's a Piedmont Plastics 2 exits up from me. Thanks man I really appreciate it.
@@MoparCrazy803 Can’t beat that! They are such a great resource and have many options in their Alupoly ACM. Thanks for watching and good luck on your build!
I used brushed 3mm aluminum ACM panel. Same material I used for the walls, just a different color. I have a video in my series showing my cabinet enclosure build in more detail. Thanks for watching and good luck on your build!
Hello thank you so much for all your help, i just finished building my trailer thanks to you! I noticed when my water pump is on my ceiling lights flicker, they are on separate brakes. Do you have an idea of why?
Here is the video of the wall panels with all info in the description. Thanks for watching! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VU-CFG9pIPs.htmlsi=SCfJ6uwS9ewoTyKv
Hi Chris, no I ordered the stock width that was wider than my trailer. I then cut the entire roll on my miter saw to 2" larger. This made it a lot easier to roll out and do a final trim with a razor blade.
I used the 36x36 amzn.to/4bOR1JU but I think the 48x36 or 53x33 would be better. Here is the video for my window install ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-i8a9cAByryY.htmlsi=UjaA-Tj7nbxo6Kbt
Hello just curious i ran my wires in the ceiling above the insulation, but when i put the lights in i touch the roof panel and it burning hot wont it melt the wire in the ceiling?
@@valentinsalas8300 If you used romex wire it shouldn’t be issue as the melting point is above 194*F. If you used some other wire then I’m not sure. A lot of people in hot climates put a coating on the metal roof to reduce the heat. Here’s a link to on option amzn.to/4cBYhu4
I used 1"x1" angle aluminum from trim on the top and bottom of the walls. If i did this again I would use the stock .040 aluminum that trailer manufacturers use though and cut my walls about 2" shorter so I would have easier access for the wiring.
Hi Jose, no I cut holes in my new walls and reinstalled the vent covers. I actually added an adapter for my AC unit to connect to the back vent and use it to vent the AC.
@@valentinsalas8300 I still like to have airflow into the trailer when towing because it keeps it cooler and clears out any odors but the vents are totally optional, they are not needed if you don't want them.
The p-trap is used to block off sewer gas. However, your vent pipe, which carries sewer gas, ends under the sink's drain board. What is the point of installing a p-trap then?🤔🤔
Hi Scott, that is not the vent under the drain board. It is an air admittance valve, which only lets air into the pipes to increase drain flow and prevent negative pressure to further prevent gasses from coming back up through the pipes. The gray tank is vented on the outside of the trailer. Thanks for watching!
Hi @beskie, it’s most common to put the window on the passenger side so when you park on the street the window is facing the sidewalk. I do wish the door was on the driver side though. If I ordered a trailer from the factory I would have them put the door on the DS.
I'm putting a rain water system in. I have an elect tankless heating tank & needed to know if I have to put the transfer pump between the water tank & tankless heater or should I put the pump after the heater then to shower head?
