Hello just curious i ran my wires in the ceiling above the insulation, but when i put the lights in i touch the roof panel and it burning hot wont it melt the wire in the ceiling?
@@valentinsalas8300 If you used romex wire it shouldn’t be issue as the melting point is above 194*F. If you used some other wire then I’m not sure. A lot of people in hot climates put a coating on the metal roof to reduce the heat. Here’s a link to on option amzn.to/4cBYhu4
Is there a reason you installed that connector for the inlet box that way? Just wondering, looks like it could possibly cause problems rubbing against wires within the box. Thanks for posting these videos.
Yes, I installed the connector “backwards” so the threaded end of the connector passes through the wall of my trailer, creating a bulk-head and protecting the wire through the trailer cut out as well. I did the same thing in the breaker panel with the connectors going through my ceiling panels to protect the wires. Thanks for watching!
Makes sense, I ended up using a large 90° fitting with strain relief, but I'm using 6 gauge for 50amp service. Cool seeing other's working on similar projects.
