I love teaching dental professionals how to provide state-of-the-art dentures. As well as demonstrating the techniques in producing optimal functioning and natural looking dentures (Complete dentures, removable partial dentures, immediate dentures and implant supported dentures) another important aim of mine is is to ignite enthusiasm for removable prosthodontics proving that dentures are a valid treatment modality even in this age of dental implants. I am a specialist in prosthodontics based in the UK, having specifically chosen to limit my clinical practice to the discipline of dentures. I love providing comfortable and life-like dentures which profoundly improve a patient’s quality of life.
I used to take a corrective impression with a special tray with alginate, those exposed area (special tray) i will trim off about 1.5 mm. Anyways everyone have their own ways of working things around and thanks for sharing
Hi Fin, How do you make your choices on which alginates / combinations of alginate to use? I think you were previously a Zhermack Neocolloid (Border)+ Zhermack Tropicalgin (Tray) guy - why the switch here?
I have one week until my 20 extractions with immediate dentures and absolutely zero sedation. I’m only 29 years old, but my teeth have really put me through hell and although I am petrified beyond any description, I can give you I’m also very excited and thankful to finally be able to get this done up until now it has only been a dream but I just hope I can handle it and that it all goes well
Wonderful case! It’s always so interesting to watch where, when, how the remodeling happens. I think this is one of the biggest benefits of the Branching Technique. The continual soft/hard tissues capture over a temporal scale of weeks to months is a beautiful thing! Thought provoking discussions on the different uses of alloy for upper vs lower. I have been having good success with SLM printed frames (for PFM c&b too). Stunning work by Rowan. Cheers!
Nice case.... What is the thickness of each material in the lower denture:.liner+metal+acryl And are they in this order: liner then metal, then acryl ? Or is the soft liner directly attached to the metal?
La correcta planificación de las rehabilitaciones es ese estudio previo del caso en donde interviene todo el equipo multidisciplinario, odontologo, cirujano y técnico en prótesis dental.
@finlaysutton123 would it be possible to add the denture movment fluorography from prof. Frauke Muller to the resource tab? Tried looking on the net for a similar video but cant find one.
Ive been to 3 separate private dentist's because of my gag reflex & its time & money & i said my only choice is dental implants at a cost of £20,000 + It's totally impossible to find an NHS dentist anywhere. I need full upper & lower replacement teeth but every door i try & open gets closed on me. It's so depressing when im trying to help myself.
