I was wondering if you can help me out, I'm trying to source the correct paint for my cav which is the same colour as yours. I thought it was English red but that turns out to be incorrect. My vin plate has the paint acrylic code" L 532 MM ". Is it the same code on your vin plate? Appreciate any help 🙂🙏
its brilliant stuff ,they do an even more abrasive paste, and it gets the job done by hand. Strong stuff for proper jobs. The rest of the range is underated too, probably because they dont trick consumers with sales
I have been wanting one of these on and off for a while now, but have always been unsure as to what it would be like to drive on 21st century roads. I know it only has a 4-speed box, but does this cause many problems? Is it comfortable on motorways for example? I really enjoyed watching this, and Alright Now sounded wonderful on that radio
These and the Mantas were very good on motorways, even relatively quiet with sunroof open. No Aircon of course. And, in the UK, in autumn the dreaded E10 petrol is released so you need to ensure it'll run on Premium unleaded. My old Vauxhall's (1982 and 1985) were supposedly okay on unleaded petrol of the day. But the 1982, Astra, with a carb, required substantially retarding on the ignition, lost power. My SRi Cavalier was fine though (1985). Being the earlier MK1 2.0L you'll probably need modified valve seats, fuel pipes and carb gaskets and seals - modern fuels eat the latter. I know even with the E5 "good stuff" we still put calming additive in our 1943 Jeep whenever we fill up, and while my current Volvo 480 is fine on E10, I still use E5 just in case. I have never owned a Carburated car so that will be an experience...
used the same product it works like a charm until you've washed your car a few times then the scratches come back again its definitely not a permanent fix
Thats just masking the scratches. Once the polish dies off, it’ll be back too normal, scratches like that need too be sanded and buffed too remove fully.
@@asahai2 if its gone through to the black plastic of the bumper then no, usually a good rule of thumb is, if you can see it when its wet then this wont get it out OR if you can feel it with your finger
People who say this doesn’t work don’t understand what their doing.paint lacquer scratches are easy removed if they knew what their trying to do..your basically flatting/sanding down the top coat..dumb fuckers.

Great video & demo thanks, what I don’t understand is when the paint is scratched through how does the colour come back ? It clearly does the job but I don’t understand & can’t get my head round how it does it !
Tee Pee scratch is seen because light bounces off the scratch directly into your eye. Once you denie scratch is wont reflect anything else but paint itself so there you go why is it coloured again. If the scratch was deep enough to hit the metal or plastic, then this video would be fail.
Because there is a clearcoat layer on top of your actual coloured layer. Scratches are on the clear layer and when rubbing compounds like this you basically just sanding off a thin layer of clearcoat
@@Invin_ciblesexactly this. if it comes off as easy as this then the scratch isn’t deep enough to penetrate the clear coat therefore hasn’t gone through to the paint layer , if it had it’ll still be there. Also most cars have had years worth of polishing and waxing which overtime would build up to leave another layer over the top
