I can't understand all the people saying this video is fake. My car had been lightly keyed down the driver side. 3 minutes of rubbing it in with that sponge, wiped it off and there were no traces of scratch left! Honestly didn't expect it to work as well as it did. Follow the instructions properly and it's amazing stuff! The pro's don't use it for nothing! :D
I bought this product and it certainly did not remove any scratches from my car. I followed the steps in this video but I applied a lot more pressure than shown. It gave a good polish to the car and removed some stubborn marks, that is it. I will try again with a proper polishing pad because I see other posts saying that it works though I'm not convinced, that waffle pad is useless.
This works on the principle of Wet sanding using the 2000 sand paper. You need to use plenty of water and lot of Elbow grease to get the scratches out. Once you use it, remember that works on the sand paper principles and that you have removed part of your clear coat to get rid of scratches, you need to polish and protect your clear coat afterwards.
its brilliant stuff ,they do an even more abrasive paste, and it gets the job done by hand. Strong stuff for proper jobs. The rest of the range is underated too, probably because they dont trick consumers with sales
I think it's about time I did another video using this product. Just so you all see how to use it the way I did to remove scratches. It does need lots of lubrication with water. Then you can all rant about it being shite again if you like😁
Used it today on my car so far it has worked well, only a few scratches remain. Was gonna return it after reading the reviews but I'd say give it a try. The scratches have to be really light otherwise there's no point. Haven't washed the car yet so not sure if the scratches will return fingers crossed they won't.
Great video & demo thanks, what I don’t understand is when the paint is scratched through how does the colour come back ? It clearly does the job but I don’t understand & can’t get my head round how it does it !
Tee Pee scratch is seen because light bounces off the scratch directly into your eye. Once you denie scratch is wont reflect anything else but paint itself so there you go why is it coloured again. If the scratch was deep enough to hit the metal or plastic, then this video would be fail.
Because there is a clearcoat layer on top of your actual coloured layer. Scratches are on the clear layer and when rubbing compounds like this you basically just sanding off a thin layer of clearcoat
I bought some G3 liquid and it doesn't work straight away as I have a long scratch on my rear wing. I have gone over it 5 times and the scratch is still there, not even a deep scratch where your finger nail gets caught in it. when it says repeat process I didn't think it would take 5 times as it's still visible. I'm still unsure as weather this is any good 🤔 I will keep going until clear but nervous on how much clear coat I will take off in the process! In this video he is only removing scuffs not scratches, there is a difference.
i use Farecla G3 Premium Abrasive Compound and i spray with water and light scratch and swrill marks are removed from my car for some time... but after 5-10 times i wash my car (on hand with merguiars products) very light swrill marks came again but its not a big deal its normal
i just ordered this products after watching your video hopefully it will work for me thanks :) just wanted to ask you what was the spray u used was it water or something else?
+Mike Hits Just plain 'ol water. You need to make the pad quite moist and if it gets a bit dry as you rub, spray a bit more on the paintwork. Hope it works for you too.
@@asahai2 if its gone through to the black plastic of the bumper then no, usually a good rule of thumb is, if you can see it when its wet then this wont get it out OR if you can feel it with your finger
i use G 3 yellow bottle then G10 with a buffer machine on slow to start with then speed up the machine when finishing each time.. you cant buy better scrach remover. its what all pro,s use.
G3 & G10 are great products. G3 is a cutting compound so don't keep using it or you will go through the clear coat. Then it's respray time! Prime the waffle first by working compound into the entire surface. Water spray it then add a Lehrer pea size blobs of compound.. Work at the scratches. Wax afterwards. Then try not to scratch again.
Thats just masking the scratches. Once the polish dies off, it’ll be back too normal, scratches like that need too be sanded and buffed too remove fully.
+Gloco Manchester There are several factors in getting a good result. One plan I discovered that succeeds in merging these is the Magic Painter Method (google it if you're interested) without a doubt the most incredible course that I have ever heard of. Check out this unbelievable site.
I used it on my Chrysler 300 and it worked, I've now got a 1983 Chevrolet Camaro, it works on that as well, always best to try it on an hidden section first, it might not be good for some paintwork. Ignore the children who post, give it a go
I was stood in halfords yesterday thinking, should i get the g3 or t cut 3 in 1........ unfortunately i got the t cut, what a load if crap, going back for the g3 now
Damn it. Despite clever video editing, CGI work, faking the scratches using poster paint. Switching cars halfway through and using a body double, I couldn't hide the truth that it doesnt work. Well done Inspector Clouseau!
You do need to use plenty of water and firm pressure to get the best results. I would soak the waffle pad first, then wring it out before you start. Hope that helps!
used the same product it works like a charm until you've washed your car a few times then the scratches come back again its definitely not a permanent fix
+William Levy It's called a G3 Waffle Pad. You get 2 in a pack. www.halfords.com/motoring/car-cleaning/sponges-brushes-buckets/farecla-g3-applicator-waffle-pads
+Ray Wellington How much are G3 paying you? The question was already answered and you threw in the brand name and a link!? Also the video ends with the brand name perfectly in shot. I'm dubious.
How the hell is the door that scratched? Not heard of central locking? That is sad. Newish car like a DS3 and people treat it like shit. Ugh, respect what you own.
+Madpainter Ken With remote central locking, you can press a button to unlock the door and just pull the handle to open it, unless you have hands made of knives then you shouldn't do any damage. that is from opening the door with your keys in your ha d and being lazy. I have a 15 year old truck that isn't that scratched around the lock, and I have to open it manually with a key!
Spac8 ...Look at the scratches closely...I work on cars every day....have been for over thirty years...I'm a professional body repairer/sprayer...even with 'remote central locking'..they still scratch around the handle'
Detoxes paint work, washed all the old polish/wax and any contaminates, after using this product it's possibly alright with light scratches but anything that catches your nail or is slightly aggressive no chance. Good luck... Autoglyn products better by far.
I used brasso on my old scratched up ipod. Works decent on metal, but im not sure i would trust it on clear coat. That stuff is really abrasive and i would stick to the meguires products.
yeah bmw paint is sensitive as fuck and you shouldn't use any of those autozone scratch removers on it. Let me guess, you ended up having cloudy spots right? let a professional do your car.
Messy Tech Yup, I have a space grey. You need to have a professional detail your car for all your scratches to despair. I have a black roof and have slight scratches but wouldn't dare do the work myself, also I had cloudy spots too from using Meguiars scratch X, totally fine for cheap cars but not for bmw.
You’ve either got a pet Lion or afflicted by Edward Scissorhand like talons; no one has scratches on top of a door handle as you’ve illustrated. Additionally the minute you were actually ‘polishing’ ( which sounded like you were cleaning an old bath with a scourer) would not have corrected the supposed scratches in that time. Fake!
Well spotted as well Sherlock. The scratches were probably chalk and why were so called scratches there. The logo on his car was the same colour as the writing on the bottle. Must try harder to fool the likes of us.
Matey boy works for Farecia; this is what’s called a viral and made by the manufacturer. I will say I’ve had some of their synthetic wax and it’s quite good for a quick shine but this stuff and the bloke using it is crap. Avoid!
