Hello everyone, I'm Alpha-27, and this is my RU-vid channel, where I review albums and EPs from a plethora of different genres. You can also find videos about my CD/vinyl collection, and also listen to the music that I make. Hope you enjoy this endless journey of music discovery!
Death Industrial taken to the extreme. What a brilliant album! With a powerful work on the vocals, which often makes you feel really uncomfortable. In my opinion it deserves much more than a 7+😉
Singles sounds great as good as you mentioned. But looks like we are not able to listen the full album on any streaming service. Not yet atleast. It could have been better if you were mentioned this album when i'm not broke.😂😂 Anyways thanks for this good video.
I think this album can describe all Revenge discography in less than an hour. I mean, if you listen this album, you will know what to expect from other Revenge albums. But this is doesn't make Strike.Smother.Dehumanize bad album. It's just puts all good things from other albums, little bit mixes new riffs and song parts, add handful of groove, boils it up and suffusing it on your face. I would say this is solid 7/10, not their best album, but still very good to compare with other their albums, war metal albums, and, of course, of any metal albums ever.
Well somebody had to do it I suppose! Even Whitehouse deserve a bit of recognition. If you have a migraine, put one of their albums on and you'll feel.much better, I promise you . He he he..... Total Sex has to be my fave. I prefer the earlier cuts.
Hello! it's wonderful to listen people talking about Nurse with wound. Sometimes i feel a little isolated, because most of my social circle don't like or even want to know about the project... too dark, too trippy, too obscure, too atmospheric... i love it :-D Thanks!
Definitely welcome video! Merzbow has an endless discography, which I always struggle to find my way around, and your TOP 10 will certainly be very useful to me. Among the Merbows I've heard, I particularly like: The Lampinak (among those from the first, more experimental phase); Pulse Demon (among his most classic and "mainstream"); Hermerzaphrodites (among the most recent things)...
One of the best things about being a Merzbow fan is that all of us have a completely different set of what we believe to be "the good albums". Always glad to see love for Merzbeat!
I was expecting Night or Buyer's Market by the bottom tiers but the actual albums you featured went way past my expectations. I didn't listen to a lot of noise past 2011 so it's nice to see how the scene has evolved ever since. Great list, lots of unusual picks, it's refreshing to see names outside from the "classic" noise artists we've all heard a thousand times. My one critique is that there should've been more female artists featured.
Could not disagree more with your Airless Space take, same thing with Estuary English and Dollhouse Songs, three masterpieces imo Haven't bothered to check this out yet, gonna be honestly disappointed if this sounds just like Whitehouse, but I trust your opinion so I'm excited regardless.
Yeah it might be kind of a hot take for me, but I've tried and I just can't get into them. Hope you're not going to be disappointed with this one, it still has strong Consumer Electronics elements.
I'll stay in the starter pack/casual noise fan brackets thank you. I've had an interest in noise music or music incorporating noise for a very long time but yeah when it gets into shock territory, I mostly tap out. Very interesting video though!
Your lists are always interesting, full of suggestions, and your way of reviewing albums is synthetic and effective. I haven't been able to listen to a lot of things so far this year...and definitely none of this list. I admit that for the moment I have snubbed "Sutcliffe No More"... I have to decide to take something from them, perhaps starting from this one... although I know that they also came out with an instrumental album this year, which seems interesting... .
And yeah, why didnt I say this in a single comment?, idk, I just wrote the last and forgot to say (At least I hope it helps with engagement); what did you think about the last Uboa récord?, I think it is overhyped, didnt really like the instrument selection on it, and I though the structure of the tracks was kinda predictable, felt somewhat too similar to hear a "long emotional but calmer last song" both in TOOMD and this one, it felt kinda derivative for me, although I think she improved in the noise texture aspect, what are your thoughs?
I wouldn't necessarily use the word "overhyped", I believe that outside of the music, people praise it for the depiction of its themes, which are certainly really powerful. But I also wasn't that much impressed. I wasn't a huge fan of TOOMD, so I didn't get to it with huge expectations. The sound is stellar, Lawrence English on mastering credits says it all. Might need to give it a second chance, but yeah, I also wasn't impressed by it on my first listen.
@@Alpha27music it does get a bit better, but yet again, everything done here was done better before, and the predictability doesnt help, I find that if a want a vibe like this I rather go to Lingua ignota
@@Alpha27music but i really did like TOOMD, I think the composition itself could be better, found the noise sections to be an inferior Jason Crumer, but the album and concept felt really well executed, it wasnt revolutionary, but it was doing its thing well, why didnt you like it?, I wanna hear your opinion
