Hey Ty, Can I share a story with you brother? One day I was driving home, when all of a sudden the Lord came to me in spirit. I felt very close to Him. I knew if I asked him to play any song on the radio he would, I guess to bless my faith. So I said "ok, Lord play "Come as you are by Nirvana". I turned on the radio and the song started playing right there on the spot, perfectly… I started getting flooded with chills like a waterfall, crying, and trembling. He stayed with me for 10 minutes in my driveway. until I got outta the car. A couple months after that I started getting amazing prayers answered way more often, because it helped me quit doubting when I pray and I was lined up with biblical instructions. It's 6 years later and I still get answered prayers in Jesus name.
I know this is a late post, but on the original short film someone said that FTL should be a full feature length, and at that time (6 years ago) your repsponse was "working on it." So today I tried to go to the FTL film website...and I get "server not found." What happened?
Ty should play the blue-eyed and -robed Vala King MANWË (lord of the air, wind, and sky) from _The Silmarillion_ . Yet, he played a character whom another character played by the same actor who played Gandalf (Ian McKellen as Magneto) killed.
This is four years old. Have you made any progress towards a movie or TV series? Are you working on new projects? What software did you use for the visual effects?
and that little pixelation that took place on the side of Kane's head at the end was very intriguing. I for one would also like to see a full feature length version of this. I love the music and continue to watch FTL repeatedly. Great job on both.
Aliyah, you are just so beautyfull and you have such a warm and cordial charisma! If everyone on this planet could/would see your smile, we would not have any more wars goin' on. Take care and stay healthy! Big hug from me. And thanks a lot to FTL, fantastic movie. No doubt about it, that the story is a true part of the whole existence. If the universe want's to tell us something, it's: You can't imagine, what you can't imagine, the universe is not measurable with/by time... Love greetings from Mike from germany :-)
You people are so amazing at VFX it’s not even funny, and the writing is amazing too. I have a suggestion though, to make FTL view from the window much more realistic, you could make the stars in the background immediately blueshift, then violet and immediately turn ultraviolet right after the violet change, because as you’re going faster then light, light changes and can move into different radiation spectrums. The background radiation of the Big Bang will also change, it will shift into the visible light spectrum after engaging FTL, and appear as a hazy light blue. The RU-vidr by the name Nerdist does an amazing job explaining this. Also, to make it even MORE realistic, the person piloting the FTL ship should have much, much more importance to NASA/Any main space company in the movie, since after all, it is the very first FTL ship ever built and tested, and only the highest ranking ship pilots would be put in the seat of that ship. I hope this gives some inspiration.
I just wanna say great work i stumbled onto this movie one day as i was searching for ftl types from a game ha this popped up and i loved it watch it every once and a while hoping for more from it someday
Great short... You're not ready for this type of travel, but we are sentient beings, so we'll send this fellow home. We'll see you again in another 1000 years...🙂
i hope dust is paying you to use this. i like dust, but i feel like they don't give credit to creators. sometimes i wonder if i should stop watching. perhaps you could shed some light on this?
No complaints. I think Dust is terrific - as both a fan and a creator. I believe they're fulfilling the need for a curated, science fiction channel with high quality content. I also feel they've given appropriate credit on both the films I have up with them, and have posted on their channels with full permission, and an agreement I'm happy with. I hope to continue working with them.
My mind thinking about titles.. 0:00 - 2:07 "Commander's Preparation" 2:09 - 5:53 "Away to Mars" 5:54 - 6:40 "New Vector" 6:46 - 10:24 "My First Contact" 10:25 - 11:30 "Two Bogeys in the Sky" 11:31 - 13:27 "Daddy is Home" 13:28 - 15:17 "Spacetime Accomplishment (Credits)" Anyway I liked your film like the distorting space. Keep up the good work! Note: 30th comment (5/2/2019)
