I love how kiryus was the one to defeat the last line of defence of the Omi ending the tojo omi war. And it was not a scheming politician, not some patriach but a tough as nails yakuza fighting for the dream he had when 0 started.
People says dodging bullets shows how fast he is. I desagree. Sure he's crazy fast but I think that most importantly, it shows that he reads people like an open book at such a degree that he can predict when the oponnent is gonna push the trigger and move just before. Exactly like when he faces Kiryu, he perfectly reads Kiryu's fake punch and dodges his foot kick, giving us the hardest title screen of the game btw. It's funny to see that the so-called Mad Dog is probably the most clairvoyant character of the series
I don't know how else to put this, but this is possibly the coolest goddamn song I've heard. Been listening to it for like a month now, yet it fails to get old.
My favorite thing about this intro is bow they pose like their tattoos. Mine with his left hand up and right one stretched put whole doing a kick block, while Kiryu only has his left hand up mirroring the dragon grasping on the pearl.
This fight will be burned into my memory for multiple reasons. Not only is this a surprise final boss that I doubt anyone was expecting (like when the game gave me control of Kaito again after beating Kyoyu I sat there for a solid minute trying to wrap my brain around that), not only is this a genuinely good fight that has become one of my favorites in the series, but also because this is technically my personal final boss of the series since I binged all of the games and Kaito Files was the last thing I played. This ripped as hell doctor was the last thing I fought in the Yakuza franchise and I couldn’t ask for a better send off
"You can't call yourself a male if you've never strived to be the strongest at least once in your miserable life! Punch hard! Kick fast! Break rocks! Lose! Win! THAT IS WHAT IT MEANS TO BE "A DRAGON"!"
Kiryu going up against Joji Kazama was like he was going against the man who raised him as his own son, Shintaro Kazama. Seeing the sorrow in his eyes.
