This is true, try buying a car from market place with no title most likely skipped around different owners or stolen, you’ll be left with bricks or having it confiscated
IN New Rochelle NY they had one my car went thru it then I looked at the prices for a transmission flush and they wanted 800 dollars I left the shop then and canceled my visit went to another chev dealer and paid 280 for the tranny flush with no machine so tell me is it worth their high tek machines cost being then rolled into your repair bill?
How do i find a lawyer who can help me with a co buyer who is also on the title but is uncooperative in selling the vehicle back to the dealership. The cobuyer is uncooperative and incarcerated and unable to make payments. and im financially responsible as the cobuyer and coowner but i dont need the vehicle and the dealership would like to buy it back but as ive mentioned she is part co-owner
Hi So I bought a car from a man, the car seemed as everything was okay, he received me on his house, car has a clean title, but when was trying to register it I learned there’s a hold and through an agent that has connections with DMV I learned that the former owner of the car put a hold on title saying it was falsely registered. Now the guy who I bought the car doesn’t responde me anymore. Would it be worthy try the court title order?

After three weeks of waiting for my title, I found out that the current title isn't clear and has a lien on it. The dealership has been giving me the runaround and I see why. I'm seeking legal advice now.
In NY it is virtually impossible. I asked today about a 40 year old Yamaha DT 125. The only way is the original owner has to file for a lost title. Or the last person that registered it. This little bike has changed hands so many times and people moved away or died. That can never happen. F-NY.
Hey there, I bought a car about six months ago from a guy on Facebook Marketplace. Paid in full, got what I thought was a clean title, and even did a Carfax check beforehand-no theft record showed up. Went to the DMV, got it registered without any issues. Now, four months later, I still hadn’t received the title, so I checked with the DMV. Turns out, the car got flagged as stolen by an insurance company. Now they’re saying they might give me a salvage title instead of the clean one I paid for. I did my homework before buying-checked the VIN, got all the paperwork right. I’ve got proof of everything-Carfax report, chats with the seller on Facebook, even a photo with the guy. This whole thing feels like a mess. I just want the clean title I paid for and don’t want my car’s value tanked with a salvage title. Can someone help me sort this out with the DMV?
Make sure they don't have a newer version of the title. What are the word may be at the top of the title. Duplicate May mean the original title is no longer good. Make sure Mr Jones shows you some identification he is really the Mr Jones that owns a car 🚨🚨🚨. Oh I don't claim to be an expert. This is why I listen to this man here. Ran across with other people who has problems on the title. And if you're buying something a handful of States like Pennsylvania...... That's what happened to these late night deals. You can't call anybody.....
So I did buy a car from Copart Auction, Oregon state I am from Arizona shipping the car to Arizona and the car has lean title paperwork. I just sent all the documents to Oregon DMV with inspection and the mission. They asked me for it. It’s been almost 4 months Back-and-forth still I do not got my title the last thing they asked me when Vin number inspection

It would depend on the car and the state you’re trying to register that car in. In my state, car made in 1986 or older can be registered with only a bill of sale. So, in my state, my question would be why would anyone living in my state purchase a car any newer than that with only a bill of sale and expect to be able to register and drive it? Also, you’d be taking a risk buying a high end antique car here that had no title, nor was currently registered to the seller. I wouldn’t do it. Yes, I have bought pre 1986 antique, restorable cars with only a bill of sale, but, in those instances, the cars were so inexpensive that I could easily part them out if something prevented me from registering them … or I could have simply taken a loss on them without becoming devastated from that loss; angry, yes, but not losing that much of an investment. You’d need to know the laws in your state and decide if its worth it to you to try to jump through the possible hoops to register the car there.
2:55 not true in my case. Im a Pennsylvanian and ive bought every vehicle i have from NY. They sign the title over i take it to the notary. Just got my first PA bike. I have the title. Its signed. And i can't do anything with it because the title owner moved to Florida. Any PA title needs to be notarized with both parties present
You're so full of BS...Insurance companies are doing "Bill Of Sales" to save themselves money, this doesn't deem the vehicle they did a BOS on, nonrepairable. The vehicle they do this on will typically have over 100,000 miles on it and is over five years old. You simply submit your BOS along with the required paperwork to the Kentucky Department Of Transportation to obtain a Red Border Salvage Title, then you go through the rebuild process to obtain a Red REBUILT title that you can license and insure in the state of Kentuckly. And EVERY county in Kentucky DOES accept and WILL title a Red Rebuilt Title. There is a KRS on this that makes it the LAW. A Red Title is only a BORDER Title which means it cannot be titled outside the state of Kentucky, it has to stay within the borders of the state that issued it. Banks even loan money on Red Titles. So your information is INCORRECT!
No Title? Then consider it what it really is, Stolen! If you are Stupid enough to give someone ANY AMOUNT of money for a vehicle with NO TITLE, you deserve every headache coming your way.
I live in Palm Beach County Florida. I acquired, with a bill of sale, an untitled 47 year old motorcycle, barn find with no way to trace previous owners. What is my most likely successful path to obtaining a title, or registration?
I live in California and my buddy got a car and the previous owner owed back registration and the dmv tried to make him pay it but he looked it up and found a loophole where they can't make u pay the previous owners stuff the dmv will try to and the lady even went and got her manager when he told him the code and they wiped it clean
Do you answer specifics? Why doesn't the used car dealer's license number show up nor his business name or even his home address or business address. Mexican dealer can't deliver title after 100 days. Filed suit - just nervous b/c of the courts -- they are crazy at times.
in 1981, i purchased a 3 wheeler atv at 3 different motorcycle dealerships, paying for them with a bad check issued to my fake name on my state issued id card (issued to me by dmv for $2 each) and the dealer handed me a receipt and the certificate of origin !!! i sold each of them for $500 cash and gave the certificate of origin. yes, I WAS A CRIMINAL!!! not sure if a automobile dealership will hand you the manufacturers certificate of origin if you were to pay cash money for a brand new vehicle in this day and age. for one thing they want to make a profit FROM SENDING IN THE PAPERWORK TO DMV FOR YOU!! as a retired mechanic I WOULD NOT EVER PURCHASE A NEW CAR!!! MY NEWEST IS 22 YEARS OLD (2 2002 MODELS ) CURRENTLY BUILDING A 1993, AND MY BEST VEHICLE IS A 1982!! AS FOR MOTORCYCLES "WICKED WOMEN CHOPPERS" FOR A FEE WILL HELP YOU BECOME A "MANUFACTURER " , THEN YOU CAN HAVE YOU SOME "MANUFACTURERS CERTIFICATE OF ORIGIN" CERTIFICATES PRINTED UP. you buy or build a frame, buy an engine and transmission, wheels etc...stamp some numbers on the frame, and there you go!!!! i use to have their contact info etc and their information packet. i had a 2006 harley ultra classic that i parted out back in 2006. i paid it off in just 10 days by doing a "balance transfer" so it was mine free and clear. later that same year i got a $10,000 loan on it from a harley dealership. then parted it out. I NEVER MADE AN INSURANCE CLAIM ON IT, AND I NEVER REPORTED IT STOLEN!! i was going to but an aftermarket frame, a set of case halfs and BAM, A BRAND NEW BIKE, BUT I JUST PARTED IT OUT INSTEAD!!!
