I tried many ways to recondition those surfaces and this removing is of course the final solution. If the object is to complicated to do this procedure, I just found out on my Logitech keyboard wrist bench that Ballistol - a liquid to clean firearms - has the ability to make the surface as new. Ballistol is not cheap and has a nasty smell, but can be used for many surfaces.

Just put the part in a bucket and pour a bottle of scotch over it. The alcohol should fix the goo. Smells ok as well. And. Don't forget the cook gets to test the wine first. So apply that rule here. No sippas try gulpas. and reserve some for further test during the process.

It's great that you show that it's capable of nipping right though those materials, but you're not showing to open the cutting bit after you use the tool. My question is, how do you release the cutting blade for another cut. I was able to make a cut on a piece of PVC water pipe, but I'm having a bit of a struggle with getting the tool to open. Can you please show how you do so, because it's not shown in the video. Thank you Mate. 👍

I sprayed WD40 all over the back of the wheel hoping to get rid of some noise, and the wheel will no longer turn after about 3 days. I didn't remove the nuts or anything, I just usd the 2 wrench and tighten it up, it works now!!! So glad I found this video.

Thank you. Spent over $3000 last year for a whole new bed frame mattress and the salesman was adamant that I had to have this 2” bumper board box spring. The bed has never sounded like a $3000 setup, more like a $3 set up. I’m going to try this ASAP!!! I am on the verge of burning the box spring and replacing with 2 layers of 1/4” or 1/2” plywood

I've recently replaced about four of these bringing them to Lowes. I also have a long swivel head ratchet along with about three more of these that you were working on here. I might take two of those and do what you did to have them original and may be worth some money at some point. They're all from the 80s would I noticed between the new and the old is probably about fifty more teeth in the new one. And the fact that they actually twist. It is a damn shame that Craftsman could not make it work in America where they built an entire factory to make American tools and not 1 tool ever came out of that newly built factory. Total waste!
