I have been on RU-vid since its infancy and was probably one of the first content creators of music/music video. I was able to have relationships with different musicians from all the world, as they were trying to carve out a name and a space for themselves, I was helping them do it. Art and music are my passions and my strengths I grew up listening to a lot of music and artists that people around me didn't get or didn't know. When I was a sophomore in Highschool, I was put in the custody of the state and moved from my hometown to a foster home after being a delinquent for some time. I ran the streets, my parents didn't have the tools to raise me differently. My foster family changed the course of my life through their love, dedication, and trust. DMX became my best friend in highschool, at times, my only friend.

Back then, I remember finding this video and then being SO disappointed because it disappeared. I was so disappointed back then that I created my own version of that video (your video?) and posted it, only to find that the original had been reposted. 🤪 I JUST NOW found my old version of this video. I was using an old account that I’ve long forgotten (I have about five old accounts I’ve abandoned and can no longer remember the passwords to! I’m just weird 🙄). @@julia_l_257 if there is an ad, I wasn't asked or told or said to do it. I have never run ads on my videos. I had the opportunity to become a RU-vid partner in like 2008ish, whatever that meant then, I didn't do it. These are very old videos, when RU-vid was grassroots and the music I was presenting to RU-vid had never been before. I put in hours and hours and hours into the collection I put out. There are at least 100 more floating around on an old hard drive of mine somewhere. Something that hits me as weird right now. In all of the years I gave particularly Ani DiFranco free and quality promotion, I have never been acknowledged by her. Not a hi. Or a thank you. But whatever, I wasn't putting in my time for her, it was for everyone else because the world needs to LISTEN to Mrs. DiFranco Napolitano. And I think it's time she gets her fucking due. History needs to find a light for her. I was contacted by RU-vid, once, in 2008 or 9, telling me about the new partnership thing, but I never did it. I wanted to keep my content free. Up until a few days ago I noticed that all of Ani's music now has a copyright. And that struck me as strange because Ani owns her label, and has for 40..? years. And now there is a political ad on this video, liberal, because of that copyright and what they changed about it. She certainly can copyright her music, I claim no responsibility in the music. At all. It's not that ironic if you think about it. This song is about gun control as a law and the intricacies humans face daily because of the access to weaponry. There is barely any gun control in this country. If there is, I have never heard of it. We bitch about violence, and then we perpetuate it, or we are in denial, or out of control. If there is an ad here, for Kamala Harris, it's not that strange, only that Ani is the one who put it here.

The artists should recognize the dedication more and realize how much it helps them indirectly. What I thought was ironic is that I really doubt Kamala Harris has our best interest in mind when it comes to gun control or our safety at all. I have no idea why anyone voted for joe biden. I guess out of fear of something worse. My boyfriend of 8 years had a gun pointed at me and threatened to kill me so it is a personal topic for me. But I appreciate other peoples opinions and the fact that you put in a lot of time to get free music to people.

I am beginning to understand the confusion of the earthly pain and that is misunderstood because the earth is so shitty. The disposition is clear along with the frustration of this current Hell here on earth in our time here. Yes the world is taken over by greed and power, but only two apostles denied Jesus, Judas, who was bought out by the Sadducees, Jewish top controller's of money and their ritual beliefs of all the Jews. Jesus turned a page with the New Testament, which negated the rituals and based on love and truth built believers. Peter, another apostille, as predicted by Jesus, would deny him when the third crow crowd. Survival was what Peter's reason. Greed was Judas's. The angels that went with Satan were 1/3 of God's Angels, not all the angels. Satan lives here and is a total killer to us while his presence runS over this earth, yes; but this will be a blink as we go on. Revelations puts this world in perspective.
