Welcome! In this channel, I'll do my best to share with you Vintage and Modern Seiko Watches, other brands from time to time but mostly Japanese Watches.

Wow, really great video my friend, thank you !! Your LX SNR029 is an absolute beast, love it. One glance at the watch and it screams, quality ! Looks great on your wrist. The price puts it in Omega territory, so it would be a tough choice, but your video goes a long way towards convincing me :)
I bought that watch when it first came out and returned it within 48 hours, only to get an SBGA029 because the anti reflective coating is much better on the Grand Seiko.
Most likely this was made in 1996. I looked through Seiko catalogs from 1986/1987 and didn't see anything similar to this, however their 1996 catalog had a ton of different AGS watches, including quite a few "scuba" branded ones similar to this one.
I've got two kinetic Seiko divers; an SKA371, and an SUN019. They are big, bold and heavy watches. I tend to wear them when I'm dressed up, and not with blue jeans. The only down side with these kinetic watches is keeping them fully charged. If it's your only watch, and you wear it all day every day, no problem. I don't. So I bought the Seiko a plug-in charger (which costs as much as the watch). I've got to charge them about every three or four months
Seiko did make an induction charger for the kinetic watches. Usually, watch repair centers had them. I bought one on Ebay, model YT02A, for about 350USD. It will charge the watch in 3-4 hours
It's sad that watches that look good cost over 1k+. MAMACOO watches are REALLY well made, and it just shows how a brand name on a watch can make its price 10x higher. I understand that if you look under a microscope, you'll find the difference, but just how many of you really inspect a watch at that level when you see someone with a watch?
4:30 there is no craftsmanship there. The movement in question is machine made and machine decorated. A watchmaker may only be included during a part of the assembly, nothing else. This is luxury, not high horology, so no craftsmanship there. If you want craftsmahship, you need to go into high horology.
The only thing that irks me about the GS diver is the lume pip on the other end of the second hand reminds me of my old sea urchin i never liked it on that either the lx is a good choice
I have “real” watches and a lot of them. I have a friend who buys the MAMACOO we put them side by side and guess what ?! It’s unbelievable!!! I am at the Rolex boutique with her and no one can tell he has a fake
SPB143 owner here and while I do prefer the 453 (I like the plain black dial, slightly smaller proportions and particularly the less wonky clasp), it's not enough to justify an upgrade. I love the date on a watch and the one on the 143 is easier to read. I just wish it had a slightly smaller case (39mm would have been fire) and no diver's extension.
I am. Because i have the 143. And trying to justify not to sell. Haha but in all seriousness the grey dial is iconic imo. Otherwise the 453 is an excellent choice
I’ve had this watch for over 3 years and it’s one of my favorites. I’m actually wearing it now. I paid a little over $300 brand new box/ papers. I also have the Samurai Great White Shark that I also love .good luck , it’s beautiful. 👍🏻🍻
Shame about that rubber strap, probably having been originally designed to be long enough to go over a diving wetsuit, but much too long for most bare wrists..... (cant be doing with that end sticking up in the air like that ! ) Also having to use the last hole on the strap, and not being able to centralise the buckle on the back of the wrist; ....in any case they look and wear much better on a NATO strap.
Over that collection, I'll take only the lx, i just prefer the accuracy. If it was a different collection of quartz and higher accurate mechanical pieces I'll take the collection instead
Owned a 143 and sold it as i found it was to heavy and bulky and felt a bit big on the wrist. The 453 is much better imo, better bracelet, size and weighs less
What nobody says is that the "Professional" text from the dial is missing...and that is becasue this new models are not Saturation Diver Watchs anymore...this fact downside this watches to the population of Air Diver Watches...much more common and much less specials...the original monocoque MM300 will become a legend...together with the wonderful SNR029...
Completely missed that one. No wonder the dial did have something missing! Thanks for pointing that out. It sounds like that's another thing that people would have to consider before getting this watch. Like you said, I think it further solidifies the SLA021 and SNR029's legacy
@@KirbyYoung as you say, the text in the dial is not important...but a watch designed for Saturation diving with no Helium gas escape valve is a marvel of design because the watch has to prevent the Helium to get into the case...that is why a monocoque is used as a solution. In the SNR029 (eager to get mine soon!) the design is still better because they missed the monocoque solution in favor of a sealed caseback.
