Do you want to join me on a journey of chasing suffering and callousing my mind? Hi, You might be like me. A loser with a lifetime of untapped potential and wasted "talents". I've tried posting this on reddit but here seems like a better idea. I'm a 25 year old. I've been obese, drinking and smoking weed. I've never had balance. I don't talk to majority of my family. I had one relationship and left it to chase my own potential. I've tried pretty much everything to fix my ""mental health"". However, to this day I have no idea what it means to feel "balanced". But I've found peace last year. I lost weight by living a Goggins lifestyle for a few months. It was the hardest thing I had ever done, working out 3 times a day, eating 1000 calories and studying or working on self-development at all times. I didn't see anyone, no friends, no family. I didn't smile, I didn't laugh. It was a very ugly time. I called my poor mother everyday, who's in another country and every single time it was pure anger at myself on the phone. I didn't swear, it was just a goggins type of self-talk. It also turned in more peaceful conversations after a month once i touched some inner peace. But it's back to absolute quiet desperation. I've gained weight back. If you take your foot off the pedal, you go back to the lazy loser piece of trash you've been your entire life. I cannot be balanced. I cannot settle for a mediocre, days off type of life. I thrive in overcoming deeply painful experiences and living an extremely disciplined life. So today, I commit to living like David Goggins, I commit to living a hellish life. Not for a weight loss. Not to achieve any specific goal, except finding a little bit of peace and hopefully creating value in this world as a symptom of bettering myself. I have huge ambitions but nothing will ever be as high as finding inner peace. On this comment, every single day, I'll share my weight loss progress, calorie intake, work outs, time doing deep work, amounts of sleep and screen time on here, I'll also share daily thoughts. I'm also starting 75 hard again (I have failed maybe 30 times? idk i've stopped counting a long time ago). See you all soon, S.
i made the same mistake, again. its not about how bad i want it, how scared i am to stay the same etc. these are great motivation. but first few oages of can’t hurt me says it all. motivation is bs. it’s all about the mind, the unarmored soft quitting mind. but i can callous it, through chosen suffering. nothing else has been true in my life. NOTHING. And i’ve tried all the self development techniques, everything. Hypnosis, self talk, a strong why, accountability partner, structure, detach from emotions, redirect emotions etc. but chasing hard for the sake of growing the mind hit different, it actually worked. it’s a deeper purpose of bettering myself as a human. the other tactics are great but they’re extra. i will use them but the core has to be about training my mins for life.
I lost my mom on July 2 my dad on July 12 and my husband on July 25, 2021. All in the same month. I’m only strong because what other choice do I have. The sun will come up tomorrow and I am gonna be here. So when “He” just cut me off recently it makes me smile and carry on because I have been through far worse….

I'm going to be truthful right now I just did 10 years in nys prison max status came home from Clinton danamora prison same thing some of the hardest criminals are there I'm one of them I am a 1 percenter with means I'm hells angel and I have a bad crime and I have been accused of taking 2 mens lives and a cps3rd murder 2nd murder 1st and attempted murder 1and 2 and3 now I have been adopted and I was born in 1978 dec2nd in elmira ny sorry I'm not using caps and punctuation but I'm trying to just be real... n0w I want to be a normal country boy that works hard and wants the best for my family my friends and others ❤️ and I also just went into the icu for 9 days and have in the past as well as now almost and have actually died on the table the bed whatever you want to call it 8 times to be exact I been shot 2 times stabbed 4 times different times I have almost drowned 2 times both not my doing but ended up unconscious under water because of car crashes now I had a heart attack and have had nomionia and I hit a tractor trailer at 76mph when he was parked in the center of the highway also when I was 3 I fell outta a second story windows onto pavement yep crazy but I climbed out my window at 3 and almost died so how many times did I die or almost die ? Well idk and idk because I am trying to start my new life but dam it's hard when u got no Damm friends and your all alone because that's tuff going to rehab is tuff going to prison is tuff killing someone is tuff or pussy but however what I'm saying is I need help I need sobriety and would love to be drug free God I have done so Damm much so much good been in the fire department 🚒 been in the military 🪖 been in boy scouts 😅 but what's hard is finding good real good people that are willing not to accept a pay check to help others AND PEOPLE WHO DO WORK TO NOT THINK ABOUT YOUR PAY TO HELP PEOPLE JUST DO IT BECAUSE YOU CAN YOU WANT TO AND BECAUSE YOU FEEL A NEED TO IDK BUT AS OF RT NOW I AM GOING TO CONTINUE TO TRY TO BE A BETTER MAN A BETTER DAD AND A BETTER SON A BETTER HUSBAND NEXT TIME AND A BETTER GOD FEARING MAN
I haven't deleted any of my social medias yet but I haven't been on any pages for almost 3 weeks, im going back to a flip phone. im going back online, in a few weeks and then im getting off for 6 months-1year
Whenever Jordan demonstrated any consciousness of his behavior he was brutally discouraged by his parents. Therefore as Jordan says "self-awareness is synonymous with negative emotions" and "emotional intelligence does not exist". Just ran 10.3 miles in 1 hour and 32 minutes (about 9 minutes per mile pace) while listening to this. So far, that's the most I've ran in one go. Constantly breaking through new P.R.'s. STAY HARD lol
Depression is a beast, those who haven’t experienced it simply won’t understand. All I ever wanted in my adult life was to be a husband. Unfortunately, when I became one… I hadn’t rid myself up the demons of my past. Neither had my wife. We started out good, then turned on each other when we started to see each other‘s baggage. We didn’t make it. I tried to accept her baggage, and allow her to work through it… But evidently mine was too much for her. She divorced me seven years ago. I’m a much better man now, but it’s seven years too late. That haunts me to this day. I still have to see her on a regular basis, due to the beautiful child we share, And even though I try to distance myself a little bit for her sake, and her happiness… It only brings me sadness to know that someone else is making her smile, and it’s not me. People who simply dismiss your depression, and tell you to move on with your life, simply just don’t understand. It’s not that easy. But the goal is set in the scriptures of the holy Bible state very clearly… Finish the race. Finish the race. Seek the Lord with all of your heart, submit to him, and he will make your path straight. It won’t be an easy journey, but it’s one worth traveling.
I've listened to Goggins for years now, have read Can't Hurt Me, but the way he is explaining what stage of mental life I am in right now is RAW. Less Brown says that if you keep listening to something over and over again you should hear something new every time.
This is a great talk but if you are paying attention the edits and cuts ruin some of the points. Please pay attention please when editing and cutting. It would be even more inspiring. Don't get me wrong great message just edit properly.
