Three things I love in this world, Lasers, guns, and hi-tech gadgets. I'm also an inventor who loves to create or re-create cool technology gadgets especially using lasers. I have built 3 fully functional high energy laser rifles that are capable of burning or melting things from long distances. I do not claim to be a laser specialist in fact my knowledge in lasers is probably no more extent than yours. I just have a good imagination and been gifted with the ability to repair or created high tech toys with ZERO training in lasers or in any kind of electrical training. Let's make one thing clear before entering my channel: Lasers are NOT toys! Lasers can harm humans and animals as well. Never shine any laser in a person or animals eyes. And most important, ***DO NOT EVER SHINE A LASER AT AN AIRCRAFT OR SPACECRAFT IN THE SKY!*** This is a Federal offense and you will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law You are endangering everyone's life on board!
how did the sanwu striker shipped?? can it be shipped seperately because in Korea high power laser pointers like that is illegal to ship through customs..
They are very clever. The shipping manifest that customs receives says that the item inside is a flashlight. You may be thinking that it's crazy because they will open and check it. However, they do not open the package due to the fact that they do not have the equipment to test the power of the laser. That's even if they find out that it is a laser that has been shipped. Customs is mostly looking for drugs. Any illegal weapons. There are so many lasers shipped they don't have the manpower to check every single shipment. The company is very successful and they know exactly how to Ship and stay under the customs radar. My next laser is going to be one of those RGB lasers. $1000 A little high for one laser, at least in my opinion. Once they exceed 10 Watts or 10,000mW then maybe I would spend that much. The 7-watt blue is capable of melting metal solder. It is impressive and very much worth the price.
Then is there risk that the laser is lost and can’t receive it? Because it’s price is expensive and in Korea laser law is very strict and there are too many products shipped so there is a risk of lost or caught..
No problem. I've been slacking lately and haven't uploaded anything new in some time now due to my mom being very ill. I just lost her within the last week and really didn't have anything I wanted the post right now. I'll resume again in the near future.
@@LaserGary69 Sorry to hear about your mom, I lost mine this year also, sorry to say that you're going to miss her for a while but I will see her again in no time. Life is short.
I just purchased the 2W 525nm. It could be even brighter than this? Do you have a fog machine in your room? I know that's a silly question, but I don't own a high wattage green laser. I even bought the 7W 470nm too. I'm low-key regretting that I purchased the multi operation mode rather than the single mode and it hasn't even come yet. I know that I can "lock" it into place with high powered, but for some reason I feel like it'll be different? I was right, it would be different and I emailed them and they are willing to change it which is amazing.
Wow, I haven't been on their site in a while. I didn't know they had a 2W. I'm sure it's definitely brighter. Definitely wanna see a video on that. Yes, I have a fog machine, and it makes the experience ten times four enjoyable..
@@LaserGary69 Yeah, I'm sure it is too. I'll try to post a video on here. I plan on making my own lasers soon too. I should be getting the lasers by the New Year 😅
Awsome! I just finish building my own 1w 520nm green laser, and I'm getting an insanely powerful 4w 2x(Nugm06) 525nm, bet that'll be like bringing down a green sun lol.
Mine won't really work. Even with full charged batteries. It stutters and is no longer I bright Seeable beam anymore. It's weak and won't burn anymore, and idk how to fix it. I have that same lazer pointer
They may have sold you a defective laser, and I would contact them. Not sure how long you had it, but they do have a warranty for like 6 months or something.
First of all, sanwu released a 2 watt one now. Second of all, styropyro claims to have made a 30 watt green laser, but actually, the beams are not coupled.
I usually don't get scared of very many things, but I will tell you that these lasers are very powerful. Once you turn it on and see the intensity and heat coming from this beam of light, you realize you're not holding a toy. Probably closest thing that we can purchase right now to a real lightsaber from Star Wars. I also realized I had to be careful with my surroundings because I could very easily burn something I wasn't intending on burning or a reflection back to my eye, and I could lose my sight instantly. So yeah scary or intense ia a good way to describe it. Be careful if you have dumbass friends who immediately will take it and start pointing at people, I've taken mine to parties and the first thing the idiots want to do is shoot it across the room full of people not realizing they could blind every single eye that beam comes across and when I say blind I'm talking about total blindness. So use it, have fun with it, and wear eye protection and don't let people handle it if you can avoid it.
@@LaserGary69 Highest power laser I've ever used is 200mW red laser, and I'm going to build a much more powerful laser by summer edit: nope, costs like $400 to build, it'll be more than just summer edit 2: nevermind, found out that fiber-coupling is much cheaper than free-space coupling
I will make a 7.5 watt Sanwu on one of my profiles (waiting for the order) ... and I have ordered a G2 lens for it. I think you can have fun with burning! I will also make a video with it. I think it will be very strong.
I've been researching since then, and the G2 is unfortunately only effective up to half a meter. But I found the best choice: I need a G8 lens. It's the best for Striker ... because it retains 90% energy. A few months and it will be. I recommend it to you too. They also advertise on Ebay that it is the dream lens for the NUBM44-V2. So I don't even mind that I ordered 2 G2 lenses, because the G8 will be the best for shooting from a distance.
You are absolutely right and that's something I do now but when I was first learning how to use them I was stupid and didn't wear them as much as I should have. I'm very lucky my sight is still okay.
Yeah I agree, I was still learning how to use that powerful beast and was a little concerned it would have burned through quicker and exploded in my face. So I forgot about trying to get that focal point just right and just backed up and waited for something to happen.
Yeah I expected a lot more to happen than what it did. I thought for sure the vapors would have ignited but apparently a laser will not ignite vapors. It has to have a combustible surface to start the spark or get a flame going to ignite the vapors.
Yeah, some of the things I do are a little both. Partially cool and partially stupid. I never claim I'm an expert at any of this and I always tell people don't do what I'm doing unless you've been trained, Which of course I have not been. I just have fun doing it and believe it or not I'm actually learning crap by doing some of this stupid crazy shit.. Lol
I’ve heard that some people can see 808nm as a faint red light. Too bad they haven’t made a high power 555nm diode yet. Sanwu has a 1.8 525nm and I bet that’s a beast! Guns, lasers and blades…. I bet we are related!! 😂
You saw my video with the 1.2 Watt green laser from Sanwu. At the time they were claiming it was the brightest handheld laser in the world even brighter than the one that was a little higher power for some reason
@@LaserGary69 yeah that 1.2 is awesome! I’m working on building up my laser collection. I’d rather have a few really nice ones then a lot of cheap ones so it’s awhile between new ones. My next is gonna be the 7.5 watt 445nm. Might as well go all out and get something crazy haha. Not sure if I mentioned it anywhere, but I have a Star Trek original series type 2 phaser equipped with a 1.2 or so watt 445nm laser. I have a video of it. I’ll be back in a minute with the link
That’s so awesome. Im assuming those are beam expanders on the end? What kind? I wanna build one. What diode is in it? I have a 1200mw or so 445nm Star Trek Phaser pistol ru-vid.commVrWL8lp12w?feature=share
Be careful using the 7watt one in the house, could easily start a fire, awesome lasers though. And to anyone reading or considering getting one, remember these things are not toys, they can blind you instantly so precautions are necessary. And don’t point them at planes or anything living. It’s a felony.
Yes sir you are correct on that. And when using indoors, I have a ceramic plate I use that the laser can't burn or heat up for the target. I also have a fire extinguisher near by just in case. :)
Have to prepare you, they're not cheap. As they say, you get what you pay for. Probably the highest quality laser you will ever see on the market. You'll be shocked just how heavy it is. You can even go more powerful to they're 7.5 watt Striker. I just purchased today the beam expander which will increase the power and viewing distance on my blue and green Striker. Video demos to come. www.sanwulasers.com/product/striker
So you can buy decent lazers. To bun with. But if you have technical abilities. You can create monster ones I've if you have any knowledge of where to get the Diode's excetera.
I really don't. I have basic RU-vid knowledge on lasers. I built those rifles really as a joke and a challenge to myself. I want to learn more about how to increase the diode power and an how make much more power laser weapons. So I really know very little and hoping to get more training from someone much smarter than me.
Yes I didn't realize it had such a short duty cycle. Thank you for the heads up. I have run it for 2 sometimes 3 minutes straight and although it does get warm I've never had it overheat. It has oversized heat sync fins that seemes to do a relatively good job dispersing the heat.
@@LaserGary69 I’ve heard you can get away with running it a little longer on cold days but I have heard of someone who broke his running it to long. I’d play it safe. Really cool laser though. Sanwu, makes good quality stuff and is a reputable company. Deft need eye google with this powerhouse at all times. Just looking at the dot on something could cause eye damage
@@timscoviac I think you're right and it shows how little I actually know about lasers. It's a miracle I build that single 8 watt and double 16 watt laser rifles you see on my channel. LOL
The green laser is so incredibly bright I was not expecting how bright it actually is in person. I really like the lighting effects it causes with its intense green beam.I think I like it even better than the blue despite it not being near as powerful.
@@LaserGary69 yeah, green light is more visable wavelength to our eyes so green appears waaay brighter than the blue although blue is able to burn things faster due to the high wattage. i just bought their 1.8w green laser. can't wait to receive it.
Exactly. And the wavelength that is the most sensitive to our eyes is 555nm which is right in the middle of the Green wavelength of the visible light spectrum
I can give you the ingredient list but not the complete laser rifle. It's about 1600 times more powerful than the FDA limit of 5mW. So you can buy a more powerful laser and install it into something else, then it's no longer illegal unless you use it to harm others like blinding them in their eyes or shooting this at commercial aircraft. Please do not ever do this with any laser. It's a federal offence now and their giving people 10 to 15 years in federal prison for doing this if you're caught. And now the most commercial aircraft have GPS markers that the pilot can engage and mark the exact place the laser was shot from and they're using thermal technology to follow the foot print of the offender to any location they try to run and hide. I know a federal agent and he briefed me on how can find anyone who has a confirmed strike on any aircraft now. Pretty scary. So here's you ingredient list. www.ebay.com/itm/264873876786?_trkparms=amclksrc%3DITM%26aid%3D1110006%26algo%3DHOMESPLICE.SIM%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D241221%26meid%3Dfef7d851770c458c8e20e14c3f25b4e2%26pid%3D101195%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D12%26sd%3D263754841142%26itm%3D264873876786%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D0%26pg%3D2047675%26algv%3DSimplAMLv9PairwiseWebMskuAspectsV202110NoVariantSeedKnnRecallV1BERTPLXDynamicSlots&_trksid=p2047675.c101195.m1851&amdata=cksum%3A264873876786fef7d851770c458c8e20e14c3f25b4e2%7Cenc%3AAQAHAAABMC3%252BWCvMUPnWGqODOpxkPg3AFUkIkQxK0tfpb%252FJnmPH6ND1qvJBbUb0XbbulUKOG9zyIG%252BRXyhBxcin74pdkYg5SoGYlJytyBS5Yo3NLbSD6O%252Bf940XMlRQc2nLx4dCC%252FwqdCcuyRwejKIesmTwsJogwOPgucSXidcU1uedxKbcFp%252FUIL6agTgfHTNygpwe6U0JogS8PqV1bCi7ka6sHB4pwkSZmIwwQv8RIilsjQhY7tL3t7ejScMIAutYPUVbIm4rhPkh4SXDUJm2lEUpq6b90zm0AFT82TVxSgc7J5LBNwjNkL5WJVk8SjC9AY0gVK%252Ben%252BwbPVkRDWKMwIRDy9CFNBxRcTg0rF4laYHKg0qOds4jZX3EFhq0gaDNgGgKEqoSo1Lpt4xhtt17ElwmKASE%253D%7Campid%3APL_CLK%7Cclp%3A2047675 The Nerf rifle I bought on Amazon is no longer available so any toy Nerf of Laser gun you can fit everything into will work. I used two of these to create the double barrel laser blaster www.amazon.com/gp/product/B089P385F9/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. And last, believe it or not if you buy an 8 AA battery holder that has 12 volts output it will power this AC engraving laser. Yeah, I was surprised myself. www.amazon.com/dp/B07BX5C6K5?ref=nb_sb_ss_w_as-reorder-t1_ypp_rep_k0_1_22&&crid=P8Q14GI5V9CN&&sprefix=8+aa+battery+holder+12 Use Lithium batteries only. And you'll need a momentary switch to activate the laser which you will tie into the negative lead off the battery pack. And again this is all self taught, I've taken no training on wiring electronics or voltage conversions or anything. Just used common sense and basic physics. Good luck and be careful and responsible.
I have been looking and pricing on Sanwu and the blue lasers are the most pricey and videos show the burning that it can do. The more I look into this, the more I realize that lasers are seriously dangerous and as cool as they are, they aren't for joking around to show your friends. Besides the obvious, there is little to no real world use for an overly powerful laser and it immediately points out where you are standing, the blue ones aren't as bright as the green and don't really burn stuff like you'd think a $500-800 item would. I'd like a powerful light to point at stuff but don't really want to hurt stuff or pay fines for accidental damage. So is red or green in a lower power what I am looking for or do I just buy a high power led flashlight (that has real world uses) I think I answered my own question.
To give you an idea of how powerful this laser is. I have actually used it to melt metal solder to connect some wires. No kidding. The laser can be focused by rotating the end near the aperture so if you get close enough and focus the beam it will melt the solder wire. You can see it produce tiny plasma explosions on the surface because of the extreme heat. You think that's cool. I bought a 7 watt engraving laser module on Ebay for about $70 and I figured out how to make it run on DC power with 8 AA lithium batteries and put all of that into a toy nerf gun and built an actual laser blaster. I took it up a notch and did the same thing with Two 8 watt engraving lasers using 16 AA lithium batteries and made a 16 Watt double barrel laser rifle. I have a video of me shooting this into night sky and the video doesn't do it enough justice. I can set pieces of wood on fire from over 25 feet away with this laser gun. I have this on my RU-vid channel. Here's the link to the first test shots of this very dangerous laser weapon. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-K_6nJIsVoXQ.html
It depends on what you want to use it for, based on what you said a cheap green laser from Amazon would do the job if it's a dot you're looking for. Just don't shine it into your eyes or reflect it off a mirror into your eyes and just know that the cheaper ones emit infrared light. A cheap one from Amazon won't pop balloons unless you put it directly on the balloon, they will not light a match, but they are still pretty bright and you can see the beam at night. It'll cost you from $5 to $20.
@@jaydenrookwood1403 it has a duty cycle on this laser because of how powerful it is. It heats up fast. The company says your only supposed to run it for 60 seconds on full power and then off for 60 seconds or more wouldn’t hurt. Lasers that are 1-2 watt or so can be run as long as you want but this one it will ruin it
Sorry for a late response for some reason I'm just now seeing these comments.. I didn't realize there was a limit on the duty cycle and I have had no issues whatsoever leaving the laser on for 2 sometimes 3 minutes straight.. I guess I'm gonna need to be a little more careful because this is a really expensive laser to burn up. Thanks for the heads up.
This is my girlfriends channel but I'm a dude. I have recently become aware of the "striker" Laser. It looks to be well made. Does this one use the two 26650 batteries? My strongest Laser to date is a 200mw but I am Leary of claims of distributors stating high mw but delivering low. However, your video seems to show something of substantial power. I don't mind paying good money for quality; I just spent $450 for a Fenix LR80R flashlight with 18000 Lumens and it really does deliver. Would you recommend this Laser? Thanks 😊
Hey, well it wouldn't matter if you're a dude or a girl. If you have a passion for lasers, then you understand the technology and appreciation for them. Yes this beast takes two of the 26650 batteries which are pretty massive and in fact the ones in my Striker have not had to be charged in 3 or 4 months with a lot of use. I bought the very first 5mW green laser pointer that was on the market back in the late 90's or early 2000's. I paid $400 for that one back then. And I've been purchasing lasers ever since. The most powerful one I bought was from Wicked Laser which no longer ships to the United States due to retards shining them at aircraft. I was impressed until I came across the Striker Series. All I can say is when I fired that Striker 7 watt laser for the first time, it actually scared me and I turned it off to go outside instead. The beam is so freaking powerful that it instantly burned anything I hit with that beam. Even white painted surface which as you know reflects most laser light. I actually caused a small burn mark on this surface. Is it worth $450? I would have paid $200 or $300 more for it. I'm still shocked that this laser is even available for anyone to buy. In fact I'm sure it will be banned for sale to the U.S. soon. I went ahead and purchased Green one which is considered the worlds brightest and when I shoot that into a cloud at night time, it actually illuminates the cloud base from the ground. These lasers are so powerful I don't even like to shine them in public for very long because when you power them up, just the light from the laser caused people to look outside because I had one neighbor tell he me thought it was lightning because all his windows where flashing green like you would see in a lightning storm. If you purchase one just be sure to use safety glasses and be very careful where you shine it and do not hit a reflective surface because the bounce back can take your eyesight instantly.
This laser is insane if you think it burns your eye watching the video. I can tell you the video does not do any justice to actual brightness. I also have a video the the Striker 7 watt which is almost 7 time more powerful. It doesn't look at bright due to the blue wavelength being less sensitive to the human eye but that laser is just plane dangerous and in fact I've melted soldering wire with it.
@@LaserGary69, which one do you like better between your 7w and 1.2w? Also why the 525nm as opposed to the 520nm? I’m buying one but am leaning towards the 520nm 1.2. I’ve had the krypton 1w 532nm from wicked lasers 12 years ago and that thing was a beast of a laser!
@brandoncabezas5473 555nm is the precise wavelength that the human eye is most sensitive to. The closer you get to that magic 555nm from either side of the spectrum the brighter the color appears to be. 5nm is not a huge difference but if rated at the same power, 525 will appear brighter than 520 to the eye. Blue is in the mid 400's so that's why the 1.2 watt green is much brighter than the 460nm 7-watt blue. The difference is that 1.2-watt green will burn things but that 7-watt blue will burn 7 times faster. In fact, it can melt metal solder and that green one doesn't have a chance. Which do I look like better? I had to have both. I wanted the most powerful handheld laser and the brightest handheld laser just for bragging rights. LOL
@@LaserGary69, isn’t the 525nm diode nowhere near as good as the 520nm diode? Also, the blue one, the divergence isn’t good at all in the blue, correct?
@brandoncabezas5473 I don't know about the quality of themdiode. All I know is the one that I have. It has performed perfectly for the past 4 years. And I have put it through some very brutal test, including leaving it on continuously far beyond the recommended range. People told me I would burn the diode out if I left it on for half an hour and it had no trouble doing that. I've dropped it on concrete by accident, And my laser performs just as perfectly now as it did when it came out of the box.
I thought of fractals as well. Not sure how and why this effect happens but if someone out there has knowledge on video and electronics may be able to shed some light on this. You can try this yourself with any digital video camera pointing at the television it's hooked to. At just the right distance this "black hole" effect occures. Petty cool.
