This laser will travel as far as the eye can see when fired at night. It's capable of illuminating a cloud base from the ground. (Please note! NEVER EVER SHINE A LASER AT AIRCRAFTS! THIS IS A FEDERAL OFFENCE AND YOU ARE ENDANGERING THE LIVES OF PEOPLE ONBOARD!) Other than that enjoy them responsible and always wear eye protection.
My channel also includes a real homemade laser blaster I created using an engraving laser, 12 volt battery pack, and a Nerf gun. The rifles I created shoot an 8 watt laser beam and I made a double barrel version that shoot a dual beam with 16 WATTS of energy.
If you're wondering which laser appears brighter, the 7 watt blue Striker or this one, the 1.2 watt Striker. I have them both on with fully charged batteries side by side in the thumbnail I used for this video.

This laser is insane if you think it burns your eye watching the video. I can tell you the video does not do any justice to actual brightness. I also have a video the the Striker 7 watt which is almost 7 time more powerful. It doesn't look at bright due to the blue wavelength being less sensitive to the human eye but that laser is just plane dangerous and in fact I've melted soldering wire with it.

@@LaserGary69, which one do you like better between your 7w and 1.2w? Also why the 525nm as opposed to the 520nm? I’m buying one but am leaning towards the 520nm 1.2. I’ve had the krypton 1w 532nm from wicked lasers 12 years ago and that thing was a beast of a laser!
@LaserGary69
@LaserGary69 2 месяца назад
@brandoncabezas5473 555nm is the precise wavelength that the human eye is most sensitive to. The closer you get to that magic 555nm from either side of the spectrum the brighter the color appears to be. 5nm is not a huge difference but if rated at the same power, 525 will appear brighter than 520 to the eye. Blue is in the mid 400's so that's why the 1.2 watt green is much brighter than the 460nm 7-watt blue. The difference is that 1.2-watt green will burn things but that 7-watt blue will burn 7 times faster. In fact, it can melt metal solder and that green one doesn't have a chance. Which do I look like better? I had to have both. I wanted the most powerful handheld laser and the brightest handheld laser just for bragging rights. LOL

@@LaserGary69, isn’t the 525nm diode nowhere near as good as the 520nm diode? Also, the blue one, the divergence isn’t good at all in the blue, correct?
@LaserGary69
@LaserGary69 2 месяца назад
@brandoncabezas5473 I don't know about the quality of themdiode. All I know is the one that I have. It has performed perfectly for the past 4 years. And I have put it through some very brutal test, including leaving it on continuously far beyond the recommended range. People told me I would burn the diode out if I left it on for half an hour and it had no trouble doing that. I've dropped it on concrete by accident, And my laser performs just as perfectly now as it did when it came out of the box.

Be careful using the 7watt one in the house, could easily start a fire, awesome lasers though. And to anyone reading or considering getting one, remember these things are not toys, they can blind you instantly so precautions are necessary. And don’t point them at planes or anything living. It’s a felony.

@indykurt

I have been looking and pricing on Sanwu and the blue lasers are the most pricey and videos show the burning that it can do. The more I look into this, the more I realize that lasers are seriously dangerous and as cool as they are, they aren't for joking around to show your friends. Besides the obvious, there is little to no real world use for an overly powerful laser and it immediately points out where you are standing, the blue ones aren't as bright as the green and don't really burn stuff like you'd think a $500-800 item would. I'd like a powerful light to point at stuff but don't really want to hurt stuff or pay fines for accidental damage. So is red or green in a lower power what I am looking for or do I just buy a high power led flashlight (that has real world uses) I think I answered my own question.
@LaserGary69
@LaserGary69 2 года назад
To give you an idea of how powerful this laser is. I have actually used it to melt metal solder to connect some wires. No kidding. The laser can be focused by rotating the end near the aperture so if you get close enough and focus the beam it will melt the solder wire. You can see it produce tiny plasma explosions on the surface because of the extreme heat. You think that's cool. I bought a 7 watt engraving laser module on Ebay for about $70 and I figured out how to make it run on DC power with 8 AA lithium batteries and put all of that into a toy nerf gun and built an actual laser blaster. I took it up a notch and did the same thing with Two 8 watt engraving lasers using 16 AA lithium batteries and made a 16 Watt double barrel laser rifle. I have a video of me shooting this into night sky and the video doesn't do it enough justice. I can set pieces of wood on fire from over 25 feet away with this laser gun. I have this on my RU-vid channel. Here's the link to the first test shots of this very dangerous laser weapon. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-K_6nJIsVoXQ.html

It depends on what you want to use it for, based on what you said a cheap green laser from Amazon would do the job if it's a dot you're looking for. Just don't shine it into your eyes or reflect it off a mirror into your eyes and just know that the cheaper ones emit infrared light. A cheap one from Amazon won't pop balloons unless you put it directly on the balloon, they will not light a match, but they are still pretty bright and you can see the beam at night. It'll cost you from $5 to $20.

I just purchased the 2W 525nm. It could be even brighter than this? Do you have a fog machine in your room? I know that's a silly question, but I don't own a high wattage green laser. I even bought the 7W 470nm too. I'm low-key regretting that I purchased the multi operation mode rather than the single mode and it hasn't even come yet. I know that I can "lock" it into place with high powered, but for some reason I feel like it'll be different? I was right, it would be different and I emailed them and they are willing to change it which is amazing.

how did the sanwu striker shipped?? can it be shipped seperately because in Korea high power laser pointers like that is illegal to ship through customs..
@LaserGary69
@LaserGary69 3 месяца назад
They are very clever. The shipping manifest that customs receives says that the item inside is a flashlight. You may be thinking that it's crazy because they will open and check it. However, they do not open the package due to the fact that they do not have the equipment to test the power of the laser. That's even if they find out that it is a laser that has been shipped. Customs is mostly looking for drugs. Any illegal weapons. There are so many lasers shipped they don't have the manpower to check every single shipment. The company is very successful and they know exactly how to Ship and stay under the customs radar. My next laser is going to be one of those RGB lasers. $1000 A little high for one laser, at least in my opinion. Once they exceed 10 Watts or 10,000mW then maybe I would spend that much. The 7-watt blue is capable of melting metal solder. It is impressive and very much worth the price.

This is my girlfriends channel but I'm a dude. I have recently become aware of the "striker" Laser. It looks to be well made. Does this one use the two 26650 batteries? My strongest Laser to date is a 200mw but I am Leary of claims of distributors stating high mw but delivering low. However, your video seems to show something of substantial power. I don't mind paying good money for quality; I just spent $450 for a Fenix LR80R flashlight with 18000 Lumens and it really does deliver. Would you recommend this Laser? Thanks 😊
@LaserGary69
@LaserGary69 2 года назад
Hey, well it wouldn't matter if you're a dude or a girl. If you have a passion for lasers, then you understand the technology and appreciation for them. Yes this beast takes two of the 26650 batteries which are pretty massive and in fact the ones in my Striker have not had to be charged in 3 or 4 months with a lot of use. I bought the very first 5mW green laser pointer that was on the market back in the late 90's or early 2000's. I paid $400 for that one back then. And I've been purchasing lasers ever since. The most powerful one I bought was from Wicked Laser which no longer ships to the United States due to retards shining them at aircraft. I was impressed until I came across the Striker Series. All I can say is when I fired that Striker 7 watt laser for the first time, it actually scared me and I turned it off to go outside instead. The beam is so freaking powerful that it instantly burned anything I hit with that beam. Even white painted surface which as you know reflects most laser light. I actually caused a small burn mark on this surface. Is it worth $450? I would have paid $200 or $300 more for it. I'm still shocked that this laser is even available for anyone to buy. In fact I'm sure it will be banned for sale to the U.S. soon. I went ahead and purchased Green one which is considered the worlds brightest and when I shoot that into a cloud at night time, it actually illuminates the cloud base from the ground. These lasers are so powerful I don't even like to shine them in public for very long because when you power them up, just the light from the laser caused people to look outside because I had one neighbor tell he me thought it was lightning because all his windows where flashing green like you would see in a lightning storm. If you purchase one just be sure to use safety glasses and be very careful where you shine it and do not hit a reflective surface because the bounce back can take your eyesight instantly.

I usually don't get scared of very many things, but I will tell you that these lasers are very powerful. Once you turn it on and see the intensity and heat coming from this beam of light, you realize you're not holding a toy. Probably closest thing that we can purchase right now to a real lightsaber from Star Wars. I also realized I had to be careful with my surroundings because I could very easily burn something I wasn't intending on burning or a reflection back to my eye, and I could lose my sight instantly. So yeah scary or intense ia a good way to describe it. Be careful if you have dumbass friends who immediately will take it and start pointing at people, I've taken mine to parties and the first thing the idiots want to do is shoot it across the room full of people not realizing they could blind every single eye that beam comes across and when I say blind I'm talking about total blindness. So use it, have fun with it, and wear eye protection and don't let people handle it if you can avoid it.
